1) I don't understand what your saying.

2) Because it feels good.

1. As people have said, survival of the fittest.  Creatures with favorable traits survive more than those with less desireable traits, and therefore these traits are passed on through genes. This process takes thousands of years for considerable changes to be noticed (usually).

2. Instinct, obviously. Ever seen other animals? They have no trouble having sex, yet they believe in no god and do not have a language like us.

hey that creatures skeleton may have been simmilar but it could've been something totally different. plenty of things have simmilar skeletal stuctures but share no common background, but it is called the "theory" of evolution.

no this is not flaming but it not exactly accepting either. I have my beliefs and you have your, that's ok for right here.

1) How come things like thumbs on humans or facial hair grow when your species has a need for them. That's like wishing for more hair and it comes to you. Evolution has no god controlling it so how does the process recognize if you need something? We should all be large slugs with no hair and only a mouth to eat with and a hole to expel with

2) How did cavemen discover that putting object A into object B and rattling it around for a while produces more babies? That's like is you put your finger on a female's big toe and rubbing it (example), none of us would know to do that

also there is the discussion of where the atom that started this came from but that's for another time.

Half-Life_man
God exists and evolution exists. Evolution is also in the original Hebrew of the Old Testament if it is interpreted properly. The answer to both of your questions is survival of the fittest. Human beings were able to survive and multiply into the large numbers they are today because they are intelligent.

Because since there are a bunch of different species, species have to adapt to beat the other species.
also. If you believe in god, who created him....and who created gods creator?......ZOMFG

That answer is simple. God has always existed as energy, and as energy was able to take form, God took form. Scientifically, energy cannot be created or destroyed. If energy cannot be created, then how did life become the way it is? There is only one answer, God.

Hmmm so if this theory of evolution really is true. Then that means..........

If I keep on breaking my leg all throughout my lifetime, then I have kids, and they keep breaking their legs all throughout their lifetime etc....... Then in the future my family will eventually evolve and adapt to the situation, and my family's legs will grow a hard casing around it so it dosnt break? Sounds pretty stupid to me, one reason why I do not believe evolution.

There are many ruins out there you know. Go to Europe. What happened? Humans do not have the certainty of instinct that animals have, we choose.

Humans have the same instincts animals have, but we also have the intelligence and free will to overcome our instincts. I am writing a thread on Genesis, to clear the confusion.

1) Just as everyone has been saying: Species most responsive to change

2) Sexual reproduction is survival instinct. The passing on of one's seed is a large motivation for every animal, including humans.

Why is their such a disproportionate amount of atheists as opposed to other religious groups on Gamespot?  It doesn't make any sense, is their a connection between video games and not believing in a God or something?  lol

That's not evolution. Those are the theories of Lamark, that came before Darwin and evolution.

No, there is a connection between intelligence and not believing in god, however (this isn't to say that you are stupid if you believe in god, however the statisticts show that athiests have a higher average IQ than the religious). While there are exceptions, hardcore gamers, the core community of gamespot, are, generally, fairly intelligent. So there is an indirect correlation in your logic.

I find Evolution really stupid, there are many holes in it and its easy to debunk.

So lets just say, the first Humans on Earth had no teeth. Everyday they would try to eat food, but they couldnt chew it because they have no teeth. They tryed every single day to eat the food, but just wouldnt work. They had kids with no teeth, the kids could not chew food etc............So then in the future, the future ancestors of this family will develop teeth because they cannot chew the food right? Give me a break, how stupid is that. The theory of evolution has been debunked so many times. I admit some of it is true and we did evolve slightly, but we didnt grow new features to our body just like that.

I wasn't trying to get anyone son, I was just pointing something out.

And I don't consider a lot of people here "intelligent", most are immature and fairly close-minded, but there are some intellectual types, moreso than another type of forum I'd imagine.  But the majority is still like any other majority, average.

:/ That's not how evolution works at all. Before you start spouting off and insulting people, at least make an effort to understand what you're talking about (because it's clear that you haven't done so yet). If you do that, then you might actually have some credibility and not look like and idiot, and trust me, you do.

Oh, and please explain to me how evolution has been "debunked" in any way. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be interested to know.

Fact is, scientists can tell if something is the same species or not.  Usually from the skull more than anything else, but the rest of the skeleton helps too.  And really...if the skeleton is similar enough, then it couldn't really be something totally different, now could it...

Also, crocodiles are only one example.  There are plenty of species on Earth today that can be traced back millions upon millions of years through the fossil record.  Turtles, sharks, jawless fish... Are all those animals just "similar" to species today, too?

Maybe you find it stupid because you have no clue what it even is, clearly shown by this post.

I would like to have you to explain that.. Even if energy can't be created, there seems to be a set amount that exists, and energy=matter according to some scientist so therefor it should be just as easy as energy creating god as energy creating matter and later binding the molekules that makes a cell.

Maybe REAL hardcore gamers, not the ones that spend weekends screaming at each other on Halo 2, which aren't on gamespot arguing about the exsistence of god. Gamespot forums are a magnet for the average early teen male gamer trying to prove something and sound smarter than what he really is. This thread and the countless GOD LOL vs. NO GOD ROFL threads prove this.

Well, the answer to question one would be...... Evolution is False!!

and the answer to the second question would most likely be...... Evolution is False!!

Problem Solved!! Have another question? Just ask.
