Apparently i fall into the whitest name category.

I'd go with the white boy names but given a choice I'd take none of the 40 names you listed, I'm fine with my own.

Hahaha, speaking of whitest names ever I know a black guy named Ted.

White names are stuff like: William, Cornelius, Phillip,Connor,Brad, Logan, Kyle.

Black names are similar to : Tyrique, Dante, DeAndre, Terell, DeShaw,Marquis, Darnell.

Lol I'm Serbian so my name falls into neither of those categories.

I'm white and my names Dominick :D

I think it started as a serious discussion. Because, you know, people actually seriously keep track of this sort of stuff.

The problem that if you start such a topic on any internet site without giving the proper context, You're likely to get a whole hell of a lot of people talking about how black people's names totally suck.

And...I don't know if that was the TC's intention since he didn't give much context into this. But the fact that this thread DID devolve into a bunch of people talking about how stupid black peoples' names are sort of makes a point in itself. The TC didn't push the topic into that direction, but the topic sure as hell went into that direction.

1) Why do these black peoples' names suck? Because they are "black names"? Because they are "ghetto names"?

2) What makes a "ghetto name"? Is that a name that is a "black name", or is that a name that is a "poor name"?
