Think about it.

1) Western countries were led to believe that both hosting countries were there allies: Britain came back with a signed statement of Germany's peace and China is considered an ally of America but no one really trusts China.

2) Hitler wanted to show the power of the Aryan race in the Olympics by having all the German competitors win. Beijing is China's most polluted city and that pollution will make it harder for people to breath if they are not used to training the air. Chinese Olympians will all be used to the smog so they will win the events.

3) Hitler had already begun persecuting Jew's and killing innocent people. China is doing the same in Tibet. They are slaughtering innocent monks.

4) Germany didn't listen to Britain when Britain told them not to attack Poland. China hasn't listed to the U.N.'s critism of the Tibet slaughter.

5) Germany was re-equipping the German army with modern weapons by this time. If you watch any news concerning military hardware, you will have noticed that China recently updated all their weapons, ships, airplanes, UAV's and more. they are now as advanced as the U.S.

6) Germany had one of the largest armies at the time. Chine has the largest army By FAR. And if they choose to conscript they could raise an army close to 250 million people - That's a crap load of people.

7) Both harboured deep seated resentments for past treatment: Germany for treatment after WW1 and China for it's long term abuse by Japan, America etc.

FLASH FORWARD: Let's just say that war is declared. China will do the same to Japan as Germany did to Russia. Germany hated Russia and China hates Japan. Make an alliance and then destroy later. China will then ally with the middle east and also India. they may also ally with Russia. Because China would be allied with America's enemies, America is drawn into conflict, bringing in Canada, Britain and every other European country. Now begins World War 3 as predicted by Nostradomus in his works, the same way he predicted the fall of France, WW2, WW1 and the Iraq War.

mm where's that one guy who said the world would end on Easter  but honestly yes this has repercussions and will hopefully not become as interesting as you post...Also I have to point some things out...the Middle East would not ally with China neither would India, even Russia no matter how much they hate the U.S. still don't like the Chinese because they try to consider themselves part of the "West" (well at least the European Russians anyway very few percent of pop). China has updated it's armory but not to the point of the U.S. and there are still some dramatic differences in Navy and Air Force though Army is tied (due too manpower strengths). Nostradamas...no...it's just a bunch of cryptic things that you can pull out of thin air. I could say "You will blow your nose when the snot flows swiftly" and guess what ? I could be the new Fortune Teller :D

There's a lot of unmentioned factors here, and your correlations are inept to say the least.

Interesting idea, but I have some questions: If they messed with Tibet, I doubt they would need to ally with Russia and destroy Japan. How would that make the US involved? How would it turn it into a world war?

I have a better question that will answer your doubt...

Why did the US get involved in Iraq?

The US has a treaty or something stating that in the case of Japan being attacked, the US army will protect Japan. Japan has no army, they depend on the US to save them. (happened after WWII)

The pathetic commentator of CNN Jack Cafferty resorts to out and out hatred and some may view this as racist. When referring to China

Quote:"We're in hawk to the Chinese up to our eyeballs because of the war in Iraq, for one thing. They're holding hundreds of billions of dollars worth of our paper. We also are running hundred of billions of dollars worth of trade deficits with them, as we continue to import their junk with the lead paint on them and the poisoned pet food and export, you know, jobs to places where you can pay workers a dollar a month to turn out the stuff that we're buying from Wal-Mart." "I think they're basically the same bunch of goons and thugs they've been for the last 50 years."

Pathetic, but then again I don't expect much from the US media.

*Sigh* People do you even know of Chinas relationship with India? They have both hated each other for the past 50 years and still have an on going dispute over the Kashmir province of Aksai Chin. They have never liked each other and are still mutually disdainful. For the past 50 years China has been Pakistans best friend, enemy of India. It helped Pakistan with missile technology and has helped build nuclear reactors for civilian purposes, as well as road building projects through the Himalayas. They are currently jointly working on a deep sea port in Gwadar to house submarines, some of which will be equipped with nuclear payloads.

Now ask yourself again is this the China that India will side with... erm No. And just for the record the Dalai Lama the one who China accuses of being behind the Tibet uprising currently resides in and is protected by India. Touche.

It's used as a Self-Defense force... though I do believe they have some troops in either Iraq or Afghanistan.

if this were to happen it would take a significant effort from the west to win this time because your basically putting 2 of the worlds largest armies up against the 4 most advanced I'm talking of course about America Britain Canada & japan to counter the size of the Russian and chinese armies it would need Britain Canada and japan to significantly increase the size of there militarise japan & Britain have big labour forces and economies so building a big military wont be a problem for them but Canada will have some trouble but in the end does the west have enough anymore i don't think so we would lose i think Russia controlled most of the worlds oil and china well there population is so big that they will win any war they want really ;)

You have to realize, the economies of the US and China are VERY intertwined. They would lose LOTS of money if they declared war on the US. Global economies often make global war difficult.

The way he deliberately used the term "Chinese" rather than say single out the government for attack. Large sweeping hate filled generalisations don't get you anywhere. What on Earth is the deal with all the China threads? I'm guessing they are made mostly by people who have never been to China or Tibet(which is a part of China now), or more than likely anywhere in Asia for that matter. Is it all because of those monks in Tibet? People keep saying, "Free Tibet!" do you remember how Tibet was when it was independent? Also these monks aren't cuddly or gentle. They are guerillas, plain and simple.

I don't want to get into an arguement here, I don't really care enough either way, only enough to give my two cents on this topic. Taiwan and Tibet are apart of China, for those of you who don't like it, well you are just are going to have to get use to it. Because the U.S.A. no longer has any leverage over them, we need them for their cheap goods and they need us for are market. Us going to war with them or them going to war with us(however you want to look at it) doesn't help any side at all. If you want to protest China, then don't buy their stuff. That is all from me. Here's a link to a few minutes of what Tibet is really about...

India will NOT ally with China in the event of a world war.

Hoobinator

it just might

Touche.

Thank you. I was hoping I wouldn't have to point this out.

Hoobinator

um actually I think he hit it right on the money and I don't like Fox or CNN for Media but I very much so agree with this...

For a news commentator on national TV, there are better ways to word your opinions than out and out blanked hatred. The way he deliberately used the term "Chinese" rather than say single out the government for attack. Large sweeping hate filled generalisations don't get you anywhere. But then again this is US media.

I know what your saying but still...it really seems like they hate us...like they all hate us...there turning into what Japan was in 1940's...also I agree that politics need to change I'm sick of global warming and health care I'd rather see our trade deficit balanced and our debts paid off...**** the polar bears we have bigger problems :l

Wrong, both India and Pakistan have quite powerful armies. Seems to be a misconception in this thread that they're weak. Their mutual hatred of each other has actually resulted in a pretty powerful stalemate in terms of conflict, and competition for a better defence.

Their mutual arms race has made them pretty powerful.

Not that I thought your statement had any credence but, honestly, you used Nostradamus to support your theory...
