4 more years of war-mongering and global interventionism, government surveillance of citizens, and trillion dollar deficits have really screwed this country over.

Bush didn't have trillion dollar deficits, his deficits were in the hundreds of billions of dollars. FY2009 had a $1.4 Trillion deficit but Obama and Bush both contributed to that (it was mostly the effects of the poor economy and the Bush-Obama "bailouts" that made that deficit so high).

Agreed. Obama maybe a smart guy, but he does NOT know how to run a country. He ONLY creates temporary jobs, put more people in welfare, and create more debt. It took 42 presidents to raise our debt to 11 trillion dollars. It only took one president to ADD another 6 trillion dollars. His plans are temporary and get people lazy. It is not good in a long run.

For the time being you are right. I have faith that after the economic collapse people will wake up and see how corrupt our system is from the politics, to war, to economics, and the media.

That's probably going to take a long time but I do agree.

Well I am voting for President Obama... Sucks people assume that I will not just because I am an ugly dude... I guess they see what they want to see. Story of my life. I feel like I am betraying Fox News (which I used to watch religiously and still watch it even though I am not a Republican because it is entertaining in my view) and my father though and Mitt Romney. I feel pretty ****y about it tbh but I gotta vote on the issues. I donated money to his campaign as well but I know it is too late. Also he basically pretty much wins anyways but I am going to try and get early voting done with so I can just be done.

No I am saying I feel bad about not voting for Mitt Romney... I mean I feel bad about a lot of worse things I do though and my failures as a human. Sorry for my shambling erratic thoughts guys.

There are some pretty big differences in their policy and agenda. Contrary to popular belief, politicians often accomplish a lot of what they promise. I do agree with the sentiment that the United States is on a downward spiral regardless of who gets in and part of it is my fault and all the other lemmings (not in the system wars context) out there.

Not really. Romney brought Obamacare to Massachusetts before Obama brought it to the rest of the country. I'm still voting for Romney, though...

I feel bad for not voting for Romney because I feel a connection to him (being awkward and all) also FOX News and the GOP have always kind of been sort of like an imagined family to me. I used to come home from school and watch Fox most of the time. I watched Hannity and Colmes before it became just Hannity. I watch O'Reily, I watch Cavuto, Megan Kelly and that one dude, Shep Smith, Red Eye, the Five, Fox and Friends, etc. Basically the channel I watch most is Fox and I flip to MSNBC sometimes for Maddow. I go on the dailykos and thinkprogress. I am really left leaning person but I find it hard to support either candidate. I just am voting for President Obama because of what he has accomplished as well as being closer to my views. I am a failure for unrelated matters, appearance, grades, intellect, demeanor, etc.

All presidents are the same, they just do their best to keep this ship from completely sinking. People who vehemently take sides are mostly disillusioned in thinking one is ultimately better than the other.

You should look into the Libertarian Party candidate - Gary Johnson. He might be more representative of your views, and he receives no coverage on the news sources that you are watching. If you want unbiased news, you should avoid Fox, MSNBC, CNN, etc. Use the internet as your news source.

No news should be taken without a grain of salt, no matter the source.

Honestly, I don't care anymore. We can't afford 4 more years of Obama, and we certainly can't afford 4 years of Romney either. I hate to be the one to bring it up, but Ron Paul had a budget plan that would have actually set us on the right track. Desperate times call for desperate measures, no one said his plan would be sunshine and rainbows for the American people, but continuing to ignore the debt like both parties seem so intent on doing is just inane. Until someone non-republican or democrat comes to office, I'm intent on waiting for an economic collapse -- it appears to be the only truth capable of waking people up.

Short term deficits? Are deficits are here for the long term. And yes, there is every reason to be concerned.

Not really. The majority of our deficit is driven by the recession. I'll never understand why people are more concerned about the debt than the jobs situation.

Honestly I don't understand why people think Obama is doing any better. His foreign policy is atrocious and nearly as bad as Bush's. Couple that with irresponsible fiscal policy and you've got yourself a pretty bad administration.
