meh thats weak compared to a certain well tuned 2004 BMW M3 GTR...
590 foot pounds of torque, 790 Horsepower coming from a TWELVE Cylinder twin turbo, rear Wheel drive. 0-60 in 3.1 Seconds, top speedestimated at 227 mph

Looks stupid.jointed

because it's the M version of the 3 series, engine type dosn't relate to the name, it's all to do with size and number of doors

my argument is if you're basically tearing out the heart of the car. it ceases to be what it originally was.

No matter who you are, what car you drive, someone will always have a flashier, faster car. I think the point is that the GTR is fast and handles superbly for a stock vehicle. Sure, that 12 cylinder BMW is a beast, but im sure you could find a guy with a 900 RWHP Supra that thinks that BMW is Meh. Not trying to start an argument, just pointing out that there's different strokes for different folks, and it almost always comes down to how much you want to spend.
Still cant handle better then an M3 though.....
And I cant believe they put a V6 in it. An I6 would have been so much better, woulda made much higher torque numbers......

I think they were going for a bit higher redline.

I'm interested to know where you got 12 cylinder from...must have been an engine swap, because '04 GTRs came with a 4L V8.
Race versions had 444 bhp, road versions had 360 bhp.....
I'm not knocking the M3 at all, I would prefer to own one then a skyline. They handle better, weigh less, look better, and are just fun to drive. I want either a E30 or E36 M3. But for being a BMW enthusiest, I dont like seeing people giving wrong statistics....

i agree with that. i'm just saying that when you take a car, be it a bmw, honda, toyota, whatever.. plunk down 10-20K basically rebuilding the entire thing. you dont have a bmw, honda or toyota anymore. you got you're own beast. :P
