2011 looks like an amazing year for movies, which are you looking forward to?

I haven't payed too much attention to whats coming out next year. I'm still waiting for my most anticipated movie, True Grit, to come out.

They all look like crap, but I'll probably see Pirates of the Caribbean just to see how bad it turns out.Theokhoth

Cowboys and Aliens. Gives me a TimeSplitters vibe. As Harry Potter 7 (pt 2) is making me excited.

On topic, Green Lantern, Captain America, Harry Potter 7.2 and of course Cowboys and Aliens.

Thor IMO looks pretty bad, we'll have to wait and see.

Meh, please no more comic book films. Man I hope that trend finally dies before 2020.

And Transformers 2 was terrible which totally kills my ambition for 3, even though Hollywood will prop it up as great. One plus though is that they canned Morgan Fox(or whatever her name is) , so hopefully her terrible non-acting career is over and done and her hype is up.

Pirates, all of the superheroes films, Sherlock 2(my friend is in it :P ), Priest, Harry Potter and I heard theyre making an english version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo which was awesome in swedish so I might see this..

that's a terrible list. i doubt more than a couple of those will be the best movies of the year.

I think its hilarious how many people are so negative about movies. I am so glad I enjoy more movies than I hate which is a rare trend it seems these days. I will most likely see all superhero/graphic novel movies, pirates, and sherlock holmes 2Avistann

Most of those sound like unnecessary sequels/prequels to me. I guess i might be looking foward to the x-men prequel if it's done right. As long as wolverine isn't the main character again

i didn't say you were simple minded. i said poeple look past the surface and actually aquire good taste in movies. if you only skim the surface you just aren't going to refine your own tastes in movies. i said that not because i'm saying you specifically haven't done that, but because it seems like you assumed people being negative about the list in the OP, just didn't like movies in general.

well my post was to show you that those aren't the only movies to come out in 2011, and maybe they just didn't like the ones the TC listed and are excited instead about lesser known titles. it doen't take a smart person to refine your own taste in movies. anybody can do that.

I will be watching Cars 2. Other than that most of those are up in the air. If Transformers 3 is garbage like 2 was, I will not be watching it in theaters.

Those are the only movies on your list that I found interesting. I don't think The Hangover 2 would be that great, although I loved the first. I also think Harry Potter 7 Part 2 will be good, especially since I liked Part 1 so much.

None of those sound very good at all, apart from Aronofsky's Wolverine film, though I doubt we'll see that until 2012.
