Alien pre-quel!? Oh Jebus, I had no idea. But I can't get to excited considering 3 and Resurection were poop in motion. Yuck.Sucker Punch, Green Lantern, The Hangover 2, Super 8, Green Hornet, Paul, Cowboys & Aliens, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, Fast Five, Drive Angry 3D, The Adjustment Bureau, Battle: Los Angeles, Beastly, Your Highness, Rise of the Apes, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Spy Kids 4, Zookeeper, Hugo Cabret, Puss in Boots, 28 Months Later, Alien Prequel, Arthur remake, Brave New World, District 10 (Hopefully), Ghostbusters 3, Scary Movie 5, and The Goon (Hopefully) .

Your list makes me fear the fate of movies in 2011, TC. Not to mention the fact that Cars 2 comes out in 2011, that alone pretty much ruins it for me.
I'm still not convinced that 2011 will be an amazing year for movies. I'll probably watch a few on your list, but there's none I'm really looking forward to.
Pixar damn better step their game up, because Cars 2 looks like it's going to be even worse than the original. I will go ten times if they will kill of mater. Twenty if it's painful. Probably not going to happen. Pixar has stated that they want to release more movies more quickly. This likely means they'll be moving to an A/B/C/... team scenario where the best properties (probably new IPs in Pixar's case, given their history) are given to the A team and the lower teams get to make things like Cars 2 (quick, easy cash-ins on existing money makers that won't be too hard to make - Cars 2 screams this category to me).In the end, Pixar will likely still have some stellar films, but they'll also probably be more hit or miss than they were in the past.[QUOTE="starfox15"]
I will be watching Cars 2. Other than that most of those are up in the air. If Transformers 3 is garbage like 2 was, I will not be watching it in theaters.
Cars 2 is the only one off that list that even remotely interests me. Green Lantern looked interesting but I have nothing but contempt for Ryan Reynolds.

I haven't payed too much attention to whats coming out next year. I'm still waiting for my most anticipated movie, True Grit, to come out.

Jesus, is there any original movies coming out, or just a bunch of franchises? I'm not really a fan of any of those. Hangover 2 might be the only one that I'll think about seeing.metallica_fan42
You just bashed franchises/sequels then go ahead and say you're going to see Hangover 2... herp-a-derp?

Is it written in stone? Reread my last statement. Nevermind, getting into skirmishes on here is something I tend to avoid. Think what you want...I will probably end up seeing every "big" movie released next year, call me an insult to "film" culture, I don't care.
The one I am most excited about though is Deathly Hallows Pt. 2, something about HP (maybe my childhood obsession) just gets me giddy every time I watch a movie or read one of the books. Re-reading and re-watching the entire series in anticipation.

Think what you want...Someone mentioned True Grit above and there are a couple independent under-the-radar movies... so there's hope. But as far as summer blockbusters go, I'm hype because it's going to be dominated mostly by comic based franchises(like '08).
I love a good indie, but I'm so excited for GL and Pirates 4 - I couldn't care less. But I feel for you though, the popcorn flicks do seem to be getting shoved down our throats...
