2018: Russia
2022: usa

I'd hate it if Russia were to get it, with all the mass racism.
US hosted back 94', they won't host another one for a while.i want england to get 2018, but after everything thats been said in the media, I doubt we will. my prediction:

[QUOTE="grape_of_wrath"]Somewhere in europe, for both, so I have a shot at going.Danm_999My understanding is you cannot have two consecutive World Cups on the same continent. That's my understanding, aswell. But beyond that I don't have a preference.
[QUOTE="gamedude2020"]US hosted back 94', they won't host another one for a while. That would be almost 30 years later..i want england to get 2018, but after everything thats been said in the media, I doubt we will. my prediction:

Marksman2200
Edit: Yet you can tell I don't follow soccer, because I just looked up past host nations, and only like two countries have ever hosted twice. So 30 years is nothing...
[QUOTE="Marksman2200"][QUOTE="gamedude2020"]US hosted back 94', they won't host another one for a while. That would be almost 30 years later.. [QUOTE="BMD004"] That would be almost 30 years later..Marksman2200Italy had a difference of 56 years between their 2 times they hosted, France had 60 years. Yea, I understand now. My mistake. I was thinking it was like the Olympics where the USA has hosted several times.
FIFA have got to be one of the most corrupt organisations in the world. the two least democratic nations have won, what kind of message is that
Well, as dissapointed as I am that my own country was passed over, the World Cup is not supposed to be a barometre for political freedom.FIFA have got to be one of the most corrupt organisations in the world. the two least democratic nations have won, what kind of message is that

Danm_999
it should be. countries that have freedom of speech etc, seem to be off limits for fifa, for some reason
The World Cup isn't about democracy. Its about how much money they can make. The 94 Cup made the most money ever, which is why I thought the US would win.FIFA have got to be one of the most corrupt organisations in the world. the two least democratic nations have won, what kind of message is that

[QUOTE="BMD004"][QUOTE="wstfld"]Does America have any traitors rooting against us like for the Olympics?wstfldWho would root against their own country? Republicans who do not want America to have any success whatsoever under Obama. Please tell me you're joking...

Again, as jaded as I am that England and Australia, the two nations where I have citizenship, didn't win, I can't say this is true given the World Cup's recent history. 2006 was in Germany, a liberal democracy. 2002 was in South Korea and Japan, liberal democracies. 1998 was France. 1994 USA, 1990, Italy, 1986 Mexico, 1982 Spain, etc, etc. In fact, the only questionable country recently has been South Africa.[QUOTE="gamedude2020"]The World Cup isn't about democracy. its not about how much money they can make, its about background deals to win votes

I don't know any Republicans who would have wanted America to do bad in the Olympics. gtfo with that nonsense.

Which are all predicated on how much money can be made for FIFA. FIFA probably won't make a hell of a lot on tourism in Qatar for example (what with it's rather backwards laws) than say, the USA or Australia. It'll make it's money in kickbacks and bribes.[QUOTE="wstfld"][QUOTE="gamedude2020"]The World Cup isn't about democracy. Its about how much money they can make. [QUOTE="GazaAli"]Its already decided. 2018 will be Russia (AMAZING!) 2022 will be Qatar (What a joke).Harisemo
why is it a joke? seriously wtf
Qatar is a tiny country with no culture, no history and no geographical and demographical depth to hold such an event.I think the issue was they didn't want America to HOST, not that they didn't want athletes to do well.Danm_999
And there are plenty of legit reasons to not want America to host an Olympics.
I think I've learned more about Qatar in the last 10 minutes than I learned in the previous 21 years of my life.
