Just some further information, too. Pi is an irrational number. That is, it cannot be written as the ratio of two integers. For awhile, it was thought that Pi might be the ratio 22/7, but then it was proved to be irrational. Pi is a nonterminating, nonrepeating decimal.

Let's just leave these old threads alone, please. We really don't want to hand out moderations for something that can be easily avoided.
