[QUOTE="limpbizkit818"][QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"]Sorry, it was a speech for the ages. Even the conservative bloggers gave it that respect.
Takes a true fanboy to dismiss the quality of that presentation. But hey...at least you contributed to the 38 million.

Speech for the ages  Yea, I don't think so.
Well you're in the minority...
I don't see how anyone could call that speech a "speech for the ages".
He delivered it great and the presentation was top notch but it's the context that counts, and that is where his speech fell short.

Do you even know why it was a historic moment?
He said thank you for the first 10 minutes straight, that was my biggest complaint
Hes screwed either way, its going to be next to impossible to recover from what Bush has done and this goes for both canidates

Perhaps the crowd should have sat their asses down.

This is true, whomever is president next probably won't be very well-liked for a while.

I don't think anyone would be well liked if they had to rule with the current congress.

/facepalm to limpbizkit
Uhhh, yes. He isn't even winning in the poles right now (that that sways all over). um what?[QUOTE="Pirate700"][QUOTE="Isbrealiompie"]Is there any way this man wont win?Dreams-Visions
and that was BEFORE his speech last night. :|
Wanna try again for the consolation prize?
Obama just has a little better numbers then Mccain right now since he is getting all the publicity from the convention. Once all the hubbub with that goes away theyll break even again.
And by the way, the only good thing Obama is that hes a good speaker. Thats about all he has going for him. The same thing could have been said about Hitler Not saying Obama is Hitler but people tend to get sucked into thinking the person is great just because they give good speeches, and hear what they want to hear.

Actually, no. Facepalm to rikusaki for not even saying why the hell its so historic. Who even gives a damn that he had the highest rated convention? He just running for president. People have no idea how much harm he will do to our nation.

i don't care about your politics. you can vote for the one who you like, but this is a historic moment in american history.

Yeah I understand that. Im not color blind.
I think itll be so historic because he'll mess things up more then any other president yet.
I thought it was a great speech and he finally came out and laid out what he will be doing and threw some punches at McCain, still going to watch what McCain says in his speech, but my votes for Obama.

Ok, the first black guy to give this speech. Does it really matter if the dude is black? It has nothing to do with my comment saying that the contex of the speech were nothing great. Why did you bother to bring this up?

because it doesnt matter if you dont like the guy. it still an historic moment.
one of the reasons 38 million people watched it.

I don't think so.
People are aware of the stakes of this election so the tuned in to watch. I'm sure McCain's speech next week will get millions of views.
[QUOTE="blackngold29"][QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"][QUOTE="Genetic_Code"]And I was one of the 262 Americans who did not watch it.Pirate700:lol: that's cool man. You missed one of the greatest speeches of our generation, but you know...things happen. ;) Have we figured out who wrote it for him yet?Exactly. These guys don't write their own speaches or have anything to do with their writing. And I love how Dems always say their speeches are one's for the ages.
90% of the speech is in the delivery. Gore had some very well-written speeches, but he read them like a robot.
I watched teh analysis afterwords.
CNN/MSNBC: It was amazing! Best speech ever! He did everything perfectly!!!
FOX: Typical Obama speech. Full of false promises. Still doesn't addres how he'll pay for stuff.
helium_flash
Heh, maybe FOX thinks he should set up his credit account with China early, since they seem to approve of Bush getting all our maney from there.
If obama wins im basically gonna have to sell my house, because of the tax raises hes going to implement i wont be able to afford it anymore cause i guess because of my income im considered super rich or something.. yet all being super rich in connecticut gets you is a mediocre houseVendettaRed07
You must make over $200,000 if you're saying your taxes would go up under Obama...
By most reckoning that'd make you rich. McCain, however, thinks you need to make at least $5mil a year to be considered rich.
If Obama doesnt win, it will be the biggest failure the Democratic party will ever have.
The hype around this guy is huge, with everyone thinking he will bring great change to washington, but the truth is, he is just another politician.
Lol @ McCain fanboys thinking that McCain can get as many people.
He is struggling to get just 10,000 at his convention. Obama had well over 80,000. LOL FAIL.
Rikusaki
Attendance =/= voter turnout.
