Back then it wasn't intense though it was just for fun and bragging rights. These days its about killing your opponents which has really F****d the game.

If so, how do you know if one is more talented than the other, since they're both doing totally different things? How do you enjoy screaming? Usually screaming is meant to disrupt, scare, or show someone you're angry... That's not exactly entertaining. Not only rap, but R&B, is moving and isn't too hard on the ears, and has a lot of meaning to it. Just look at Kanye West's lyrics for songs like "good morning" or "all falls down". You can feel more emotion for R&B and such, screaming is... Screaming :|

The whole thing is why would I wanna growl like a moron? They sound like they are having a bowel movement during a song. It sounds really disturbing and that's why death metal will never be popular.
