$50 million and you can only live for 5 years?

I'd take it. Five dream years and I'd make sure to set some aside for my parents and nieces and nephews.

If I had my own family, like spouse and kids, it would possibly be different, but with my current life? It is likely I may be dead within 5 years without the money.

Yeah 5 years with $50 million, that's $10 million a year, and that's if there's no taxes in this scenario and you leave nothing behind. $10 million a year is awesome, but it's not exactly like you're going to do every incredible thing with that. $10 million won't even get you a mega-yacht. Then if you want to have houses, throw insane parties, travel etc. you could burn through $50 mil pretty quickly especially knowing you only have 5 years to live.

Life is only worth living if your doing something with it. Most people go to work,pay bills repeat and are bored to death of their daily lives. I have done almost everything I could afford to do. By they time I can afford to do the rest I will be much older. I will be lucky to make over 1 million during that time and uncle sam will take a nice chunk out of that. So I have no problem living on 10 million for 5 years. The rest will go to my family when I am gone. I don't see how this could be anything but a win-win. People die every day broke and bored never having lived their dreams.
