Oh, I see, you're a "special" case...ie, you post rhetoric you yourself won't follow...I can see why you like a man who now wants to be in charge of a nation that he was calling for succession from.

No, I'm not special. I just don't feel like you need to know anything about my personal life. There are others here that I have no problem discussing these things with, you aren't one of them.

It all depends on what you look like and how you act and where you go. If your black, mexican, asian, in a lot of europe you will get looks and even looked down upon. Sweden for example almost everyones white and most blacks i saw were in groups. I'm white though and i look more european then most europeans so when i went to France I didn't have a problem everyone was very nice. I would hate to be anything else then white though honestly :/ it makes travelling a b_tch

Moving to US is easier IMO, as an immigrant from Taiwan to US. magicalclick
It could be, but the amount of racism in America is pretty high too. We had it much better in Japan vs America.

[QUOTE="NiKva"]

Never had culture shock when I lived in Japan. Then again I lived there for ten years since I was a toddler.

I liked this article, though, because I've heard people saying that they'd like to move to another country, although many countries are mostly the same.

How could you get culture shocked if you can't even remember before you were living there? :roll:

Good article. I don't think, when I eventually do, that I would travel alone anyway.

Didn't get culture shock when I went back to America either. Maybe I'm just resistant to culture shock.

I moved to New Zealand from the states a while ago, and culture shock is an amazing thing. Going from American to British/New Zealand living is very very different. I have gotten tons of anti-american hate down here which was strange.
