61 yr old man slaps 2 yr old at WalMart

This wonderful example of humanity here slapped a 2 yr old girl at Walmart for crying too much:

From CNN:

Roger Stephens, 61, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree cruelty to children. An incident report obtained from police in Gwinnett County indicated Stephens did not know the 2-year-old girl he stands accused of hitting.

The confrontation happened shortly before noon at the Walmart in Stone Mountain, a suburb of Atlanta.

According to the arresting officer, the child's mother said her daughter was crying as they walked down one of the aisles.

The mother said a stranger later identified as Stephens approached them and said, "If you don't shut the baby up, I will shut her up for you."

A few moments later, while the mother and the crying child were in another aisle, Stephens allegedly grabbed the girl and slapped her across the face.

Police said he hit her four or five times. "See, I told you I would shut her up," the suspect allegedly told the mother.

Authorities described "slight redness" to the toddler's face. Before he was arrested, Stephens apologized to the mother for striking the girl, the incident report said.

Stephens, a Stone Mountain resident, is being held by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department.

I wasn't laughing at unfunny parts in the movie; I was laughing at the person sitting in front of me because of how angry she was getting from me kicking her chair.

Congrats to the old guy for doing what we all want to do, but never had the guts to!

That's certainly uncalled for, what a disgusting thing for the old man to do, it's not his child and he has no business touching her or telling her mother what to do with her. What an animal...hope I never run into that guy...I wonder if he felt a little tougher after beating up a 2 yr. old....he'll probably brag to his friends about it later after he gets out of jail...

It's not understandable. Crying kids are loud and annoying, sure, but they're hardly annoying enough to even make me think of going over and slapping them four or five times. If I ever was going to slap someone it would be the parent for not taking their kid out of the area, but I would never hit a baby for crying.

Im sure they wern't. We dont put up with that crap.

If someone were to do that to my child, or younger sister, I'd be the one under arrest....for bludgeoning the guy to a pulp with a bottle of pulp-free orange juice in the juice aisle. I've been around many screaming babies, like on a 16 hour flight with nowhere to go, but that guy could have just walked away, he had a whole store to escape the baby's cries. I hope he goes to jail and gets jumped in the shower American History X style.

He has no right to hit a two year old child he came on very aggressively as it seems his first remark was to shut the child up or he would, he did not ask nicely if she could please quiet her child down or leave the area or anything his first thought was to hit a two year old, and what favor has he done her? what right did he have to hit this randome child whom he found to be annoying, none,you leave your hands off other people's children, doesn't matter how much you think a big favor he was doing he has no right to hit this child.
