A band that you can tolerate from a genre you typically can not stand?

Pop Rock - Avril Lavigne

Tatu - whatever genre they are.

I don't like rap/hip-hop, but I find Outkast to be pretty ****ing cool.

And I don't normally listen to music for angry 15 year old girls, but I'm also pretty fond of Tori Amos.

Techno/Electronica:Ulver (Electronic Era) and Kraftwerk. Its the majority of the bands/artists that make the genre suck.

And I wouldn't say tolerate, more like "love to death". Just their earlier stuff though.

Britpop : Suede, too

deadboy and the elephantmenhave songs in a few different genres that i dont normally like, mostly in their duet days. theyve got punk songs with dax's morbid stylings, pop thats no where near as wholesome as it sounds, and singer/songwriter-like songs to mix it up.

i dont usually like pop musik but i really like katy perry's song hot n cold its fantastic

I think their mix of rock, funk and hip hop is outstanding.Flea's monstrous riffs are the main reason why I like them.

Well, I can pretty much get into almost any form of metal, so that rules that genre out. But pop, rap, and hip hop are probably the main genres that I really find difficult to tolerate. So if any artist from those genres comes to mind, it would have to be Michael Jackson.
