How is that shallow? Dude, I'm with you 100%. It might be out of her control, but so is a goiter jutting out of her neck. And if that was a case, I seriously doubt anyone would go out of their way to say she's attractive just to seem like they're not shallow. I don't like braces either. Not finding them attractive isn't an indication of shallowness at all.

hot girls who dont have braces, then get them...i dunno, i can see how it would affect her apperence. My opinion is, give it some time to adjust. My brother got braces while i was away to school and when i came back he looked really wierd at first, but now i think they look good on him.

Wait a few weeks until your mental picture of her changes and 10 bucks says you'll find her attractive again.

I don't think it's shallow. Personally, I find braces cute, but you can't help what you are, or are not, attracted to. If a girl I only "liked", but didn't have really strong feelings for, suddenly broke out in a bad case of acne, that would make her less attractive to me.

But like others have said, the braces will come off eventually. Just continue to be her friend in the meantime (assuming you are), and see what happens in the future.
