I love how the goalies start fighting each other as well for no reason. Donald Brashear is always in some sort of fight. :lol:

That was awesome, I love me some hockey fights takes an already violent game and takes it up a couple notches. Plus it was just like one continuous fight with little portions of hockey.

Fights are fine. Only one person (Nick Kyprios (SP?)) has ever had their career ended by a fight. For those who don't play hockey, I don't think you understand how ahrd it is to throw punches on skates. The worst thing you can do is break your hand. If they got rid of fights more Bertuzzi-Moore things would happen and that would be bad. As it is now fighting is a good part of the game as it is actually quite safe compared to the rest of the game and the fan(s) love it.

Some of the people fighting seem to be talking to eachother casually, but all the while throwing punches at eachother. This makes me wonder if sometimes hockey players fight just because they want to fight, instead of actually being angry at another player.

Are you really bringing up the children? Growing up with snow during the winter (by default being in an area with hockey) I can't say that the youth was tainted by hockey fights. At worst there was a crummy fight or one that ruined the momentum for your team and at best it charged up the team and was a game changing moment.

Is that actually considered normal in hockey?

I don't watch it at all, but I would have thought that punching somebody in the face was illegal whether in a game or not. The fact the referee was just watching just raises serious questions.
