A question about trolls?

Have you seen anyone troll in real life? As in do things to make people upset purposley on general basis? I was just wnondering this since this kid always plays pranks on people at my school. I aked him why he does it and he says "I do it for the lulz" as trollers would say online. So do you guys ever run into any real-life trollers?

There's various degrees of trolling, and it's not always vicious. My husband likes to troll and he's pretty intelligent about it, but it's more to aggravate e-thugs in MMORPGs as opposed to making families cry.

I trolled some morons on Facebook once, but I'm a pretty easy-going person in real life. When I had the chance, I liked teasing my brother's friends, but yeah, it was all in good fun.

I'd pretty much categorize one of my best friends as a troll. I find her absolutely hilarious though, and she doesn't take it overboard.

I haven't seen any real life trolls, perhaps because I don't call instigators trolls on a regular basis...I just disproved my own answer.

Guys who go to bars instead of boxing clubs to fight are trolls. I have seen them.

Internet trolls are pretty rare, I think. On or about 90% of online "trolling" is just some idiot saying something idiotic, albeit sincerely, and then pretending to just be out to annoy everyone when he discovers what a dumb f*** he is.

I believe the movie "A Troll in Central Park" is a documentary relating to this subject.

I have seen a few people in RL that could be called trolls but not many, I think most trolls prefer the internet so they have some protection and anymosity

Haha I liked and agreed with both these statements.

Every now and then in life I have found myself trolling someone just because, God help me, the temptation was just too great. If I meet a horrifyingly pretentious yet surprisingly stupid friend-of-a-friend, for example, but I admit I prefer the good old Cut Direct.
