Who here drinks (Your age won't be judged) to enjoy the beverage or simply to get drunk?

Get drunk... dulls the pain... OF DYING!!!(what movie?)
But seriously, to get drunk with friends and watch sports.
I drink to get drunk. Alcoholic drinks almost always taste fairly rank imo.kamikaze_pigmy
Ever had a margarita? Tastes like Heaven. Mixed drinks are amazing.
So is good beer.
Generally, its only American light beer and straight liqour thats nasty...
It depends. Sometimes a Beer can be the most refreshing thing when you are really thirsty and the alcohol can just tip it on favour of a Coke or water. However, in generally Beer is a bitter drink and if I wanted a nice flavour I'd drink a Coke any day of the week. Mostly I drink to be socialable and on occasions, to get drunk:P

Both, mostly to enjoy the beverage. I enjoy drinking most kinds of alcohol EXCEPT wine, I hate wine (if it isn't 'expensive' it tastes like ****). Sometimes to get drunk, simply because getting drunk with good friends is always fun.
I drink to get drunk. Alcoholic drinks almost always taste fairly rank imo.kamikaze_pigmyI've never understood people who's main goal of drinking is to get drunk. I have normally have two beers and call it quits though some nights I can get carried away.

Personally, beer is expensive, and its main value is intoxication. Seems like a waste of money to drink two beers and stop, without any pay off. Of course, I could chug two beers in 15 seconds and not feel a thing, so I may be a bad example.
To enjoy it. There's nothing like a good beer, or a nice glass of wine paired with a homemade dinner. Sitting on the patio after work with a cool breeze and the sun setting and a cold, crisp beer in your hand is a moment to savour as long as possible. Then you lift the glass to your lips, citrus notes and peppery hops tingle your nostrils, bubble of carbonation burst into pockets of intense aroma, and you tilt it back and the glorious, heavenly brew cascades down your throat in a beautiful, bitter stream.DJ_LaeI like this description of enjoying an alcoholic beverage.
I like to get drunk, but you will not catch me with a bud light or miller lite. If I am drinking beer I usually drink: New Castle, Hobgoblin, Holy Grail Ale, Chimay Blue or Arrogant B@astard...I am a man of quality afterall.
BUT if I am really being cheap ill keep it real with a King Cobra or two.

I have normally have two beers and call it quits though some nights I can get carried away. Well I hate the taste of pretty much all alcohol. When I drink I am wanting to get really messed up. Its rare as I only do this maybe once every 2-3 years honestly. When that time comes though I only am drinking to get drunk.

simply to get drunk. either a little bit drunk for a bit of confidence, or very drunk to forget something.
DJ_Lae
That never works, unfortunately.
Sure it does. Alice Cooper has no memory of recording 2 albums because he was drinking so much through out production.I do both at times. For example if I am meeting friends in town then I will have a couple of cold beers and help past the time away.
If I am going out to party or just go insane then I go into heavy drinking mode.
i don't drink to get drunk i just drink because i like the taste of it especially rum...mmmm rum8)
i'm 24

Yup. If I wanted to enjoy the taste of a drink, there are plenty of refreshing and delicious drinks which are not nearly as expensive as alcoholic ones. That's not to say I drink alcohol that tastes absolutely disgusting just to get wasted, I do quite like some alcoholic drinks (mostly cider), but even the ones I like aren't as nice-tasting as a lot of non-alcoholic drinks, imo.Just cracked open my first beer of the night... Miller Genuine Draft(Im 21)... only Miller I like.
Drunk typing, here I come:P
Well im not of age so ill just....*sees op*
I like it to get drunk most of the time :P(Your age won't be judged) BR>

[QUOTE="xaos"]I only drink things whose taste I like, stouts, lagers and Jameson or Jack (not all mixed together, though). That said, the associated social lubrication is quite enjoyable as well.rawsavonThe lubrication is far stretching I have something to say but of course, I dare not
