I dont hate boxxy like many others out there, but i'm not a fan of this boxxy fad. It's just not as funny or as interesting as the usual internet randomness. A girl in some youtube videos who's a bit hyper. That's pretty much it. We need to make our own fads. Better fads. Stronger fads. We have the technology.

I don't mean fads, I mean their own things. When OT was good, you didn't have fads, you had personalities. RyanTheGod would post a certain and unique way, but everyone knew not to copy him. Same with Gamedude and other people. If the "beautiful woman" thing had just stuck with ilpiercedninio, it wouldn't have been a problem, but when others start to do it thinking it's cool, they become copycats and we have an annoying fad on our hands. If it had just been one or two people who always said that they touched a girl's shoulder, it would be funny and hilarious, but since everyone does it, it's played out and obnoxious. That's why fads are considered disruptive, because everyone does it and they become as much, if not more obnoxious, than all caps posts. Everyone knows that the_foreign_guy makes those hillarious animations. That's why you're an OT personality. Fortunately, OT doesn't try to copy everything you do because it's too much work. If everyone made a derivative and/or copy of it though, that's a whole other path that I hope we never have to walk down.

Only problem with fads is that they have a tendency to get kind of out of control when not clamped down. I distinctly remember that "heart attack" episode a few months back where the entire first page was nothing but people posting about heart attacks. It was funny, but... kinda detrimental to the experience of anyone not wanting to look at joke threads about heart attacks.
