I don't know, really...I guess a western Canadian accent, if there's such thing...

Fortier

Like spaghetti western?

What the hell is that?

It's a movie genre. A western created by Italians.... I think...

We don't really get accents anywhere west of the Ontario-Quebec border here in Canada. An Albertan sounds the Same as an Ontarian, Who sounds the same as BCers. But the accents we do get are weird. Newfie accents are so foreign I've seen them subtitled on TV.

So yeah, when I went down to the states, I was a little surprised to hear all the various accents they have down there.

I live in Virginia and sometimes when i go to South Carolina i can't understand what a person is saying at ALL.  I just nod my head and smile when they do :P

[QUOTE="yermomsboxx"][QUOTE="Apollo5000"][QUOTE="trix5817"]I don't really think I have an accent. I'm from Michigan. The only places I have really heard accents in the US in some east coast areas and the south. Everyone else sounds the same to me.ardylicious
You do have an accent, everyone does. You can't really detect your own if you've grown up with it hearing it all the time. but its there... and its watching you....

Yeah. Ask a British person if you have an accent.

Yeah its amazing because yanks seem to think Uk chaps have an accent. Simple fact is ours is very flat, its the yanks who have the accent. Try saying the word Aluminuim and World..... I rest my case. Americans go round the world when they say it......Such strange people.

Funny.  And hear i thought we Americans had a rather bland accent (i sound like those average white people on TV).  It sounds like British people, to me, put a lot of flavor in their words and excentuate certain words.  Can't think of any examples right now.
I think we pronounce World like "Werld."  I dont know what you're talking about with Aluminum though.

I don't think so. From New Jersey I think I have a slight southern accent from my mom's side, unfortunatally.

That's funny. Most people I know can't seem to stand Boston accents. All that "pak the ca" stuff.
