They're very good at what they do - that's why they stay in the same parts. I've watched 5 Bruce Willis films in the past 2 weeks and they were all great. Having a familiar actor helps endear films to me, I find. :)

I'd nominate Tom Cruise. On paper, he's played a variety of roles. Watching the roles, you see his performance is identical across every film. Take away the flight suit, military uniform, or whatever costume he's wearing, and you cannot tell what role he's playing.

Reeves may be a bad actor but he most definitely doesn't play the same character.

His roles in the Matrix movies are very different from his role in Parenthood and The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Anyways, I think Statham is easily the biggest offender in this category. Tony Jaa is as well but he isn't known for his acting skills anyways...

Yea Will Smith usually plays a smart-*** this started way back in his Fresh Prince days.

and I never really thought about Reeves, but he usually plays that guy who gets thrown into a situation clueless about what going on.
