Rum....Malibu...that is rum, right?I tried it the other day. I like it cause it tastes really good and theres no burn, but might as well be drinking pepsi or something, so its not my favorite.

Crown Royale...stole some from my parents...its ok.

Those are really my preferences....ehh...I havent really tried beer yet...

But nothing beats a night with some friends and my girlfriend, just sippin around. We never get stoned or hammered that bad though, we try to keep it to a minimum.

Hmmmm while I have an appreciation for allalcohol, I mostly drink beer.

My favorite hard alcohols are Gin and Vodka, preferably with something tart and sweet like Cranberry or Grapefruit.

As for beer, ooooof, where do I start?

Spaten Optimator is my old standby, its a nice, malty doppelbock weighing in at around 8% alcohol.

For my lighter days, I generally go with a Xingu Black Beer (a black lager from Brazil; malty yet crisp) or aPilsner Urquel

If I am going Belgian, I really like Duvel, Delerium Tremons, or St. Bernardus Quadrupel or Dubbel

I finally got over my hop phase, but I still do love me an occasional double or imperial IPA; Green Flash has a really good one, and Firestone Walker's Union Jack (recently a GABF winner) or Double Jack really hits the spot. I also make a great DIPA at my brewery if I may say so myself. I think Pliny the Elder is my favorite hoppy beer, by Russian River Brewing Company.

Oh and I have to mention Stone Brewing Company, simply because theyre awesome.

For strong ales I really like Lagunita's Brown Shugga, Anchor's Foghorn, and Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot (but only if its aged 2 or more years).

Thats just the tip of the iceberg for my favorite beers, if I had my journal I'd list them all lol.

I used to be more into hard liqour, but I am a heavy weight and have to drink a lot. I tend to over do it, so now I drink beer so as not to get so ****ed up.

Sam Adams is best.

I found that beer is better if you have a high tolerance. Your body absorbs the alcohol more throughly because beer actually has some wholesomeness to it, i.e. proteins and carbs and vitamins.

With shots, its like "OK I will get drunk when my liver cant handle it anymore but until then DRINK DRINK DRINK!"

I would share my most ridiculous story, but I'm underage and it involved marijuana as well, so I'm pretty positive I'd get moderated. :P

Alcohol is great. I usually drink beer, because I like how long beer lasts. Sometimes I also drink whiskey, Jack Daniels and Black Velvet. Black Velvet is pretty cheap but one of the best whiskeys i've ever tasted. I used to like Tequila, but things went wrong on midsummer's eve. Never again.

Epic stories... I'm sure there are some but nothing pops out in my mind right now (:P)

Oh! A couple years back, I was at my sister's wedding, and the plan was that after the wedding my friend and two girls we had met would pick me up and we would leave to another town to party. Everything was fine until later. We were at one of the girls house and there were other people there too. Later me and my friend walked around the neighborhood, we wanted to see what the place looked like because we had never been there before, and when we got back everybody had left. The doors were locked and no one was there. We were supposed to sleep there and we had all our stuff in that house. We tried calling them several times but couldn't reach them. Later, we finally got a hold of them, they were at a bar. Naturally, we were angry at them for leaving us because, after all, we were supposed to sleep there. Anyway, my friend tried to climb up on the roof to reach a window to see if it was open. It wasn't. We tried to sleep on the yard but the sun was rising and all noise made it hard, so we wen't on another walk around town. After maybe one hour we got back to the house, and the girls were home. We were still mad at them so we just took our stuff and left. It was around 7 in the morning by now. We thought that we would take the bus back home, so we wen't to the bus stop. After a while we started wondering where the bus was. It was like 20 minutes late, then we saw a note that said that there are no busses in traffic on sundays. We started walking around yet again trying to think of a way to get back home. On the way we saw an old man and he looked at us and asked us "rough night?", which I think was kind of funny. I guess we weren't in the best shape. So anyway, I then called my sister (not the one who got married) and she came to pick us up. It's a 100 kilometer drive (don't know how many miles - maybe around 60?), so it was a nice favor my sister did.

That's my story. I have a couple more this wil have to do for now. :)

HAHAHA I had a friend that was "a climber" when he drank. This guy was my roomie and we downed a fifth of Jameson between the two of us and like 5 beers apiece. So anyway we were down in Santa Barbara and got locked out of the place we were staying at so this guy scaled FOUR FREAKING STORIES up a rain gutter, hops onto the top balcony between the apartments, comes down, and opens the door.

I dont have any good personal stories. One time I was drinking on my front porch and got thrown in the drunk tank because apparently you need to "be behnd a fence greater than 18 inches tall" when drinking in your front yard. Utter and complete bullcrap

Alcohol is only awesome if you can control it. For me, alcohol is not awesome. It has almost ruined my life. I lost my best friend, the girl of my dreams, spent a month and a half in jail, got kicked out of my house, my friends and family stopped talking to me for a while, and if I keep down this path, than it will ruin my life and possibly kill me. And even though I realise this, I still have a hard time quitting. I'm finally just now starting to get back on track a little bit, I've been an alcoholic for nearly 3 years now. I'm talking a whole liter or more of whiskey or vodka a day. spend at least 20 dollars a day on alcohol. And I'm broke also. I think alcohol should be illegal.

Beer, Beer, and more Beer :). I like whiskey and rum on occasion too but they get me drunk too fast. I love all beers stouts, ipa's, lagers, pale ales, any craft beers really. I am also known to drink wine on occasion.

I really dont see the big deal about enjoying a few beers during the middle of the week.

Freaking awsome thread. I've had plenty of experiences with alcohol myself. This one time I was at a keg party, and all went well and good. Then comes time to leave and I can't see my friends anywhere, so I just end up going home on this random bike I found at the place lol. Good thing my house was only like 3 miles away haha and that I didn't get pulled over by a cop because it would pretty much be equal to driving under the influence. Funny thing was is that when I was walking around I was stumbling around and such, but when I got on the bike it was like I was completely sober lol. Good times, good times.

Once in a while, I'll have me some brandy or some Crown Royal (my favorite whiskey.) As for beer, I will drink from Budweiser, Heineken, Corona, New Castle, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Samuel Adams October Fest (the latest one that I've tried and it's actually pretty darn good.) I drink beer more often than hard liquor.

Straight up hard liquor for me. Magic Ice Vodka has been my standard drink for some time now (probably because it's so cheap :P)

My favourite drinks are Jager Bombs and Souther Comfort with coke. I drink a lot of red wine and port from the local winery down the road, however, as a 2 litre bottle costs $5 and has 20% alcohol. I'm not a real fan of beers, but I love most spirits.

As for funny stories ... at my 19th earlier on this year I had a few (~8) mates over and we all had a few drinks. I live on 2.5 acres and past our back fence is about 100 acres of land with a dam. At about midnight, in the middle of August (winter) one of my mates decided to chase the other one down the hill. The one being chased then climbed up a tree and the other one could not find him. The chaser then thought he went into the dam and decided to dive in. Needless to say he was freezing ...

I'd go for drinks such as Jagerbombs, Sambucas, Vodka(with Red bull, coke, orange and ribena).

Seriously though, those drinks get me so scuttered. On tuesday my year had its Debs Fundraiser so we all went to a pimps and hoes themed party for that. I drank quiet alot. Ended up getting into a dance off, met two girls and became best friends with a 74 year old guy named patrick. I added him on Facebook after that. But needless to say I feel like I made a fool of myself now.

had a shot of some rum, don't remember what it was called but i've never had it/heard of it before and i've been to bartending school. it was somewhat sweet. kind of felt like jager going down. anyways i'm just here to say and confirm: alcohol = good.

Alcohol is okay. I can't drink hard liquor like vodka and tequila without something to chase it down with though. As for beer, I prefer anything, from Coors to Yuengling.

But honestly I prefer smoking (not cigarettes, the other thing...) over drinking. It's better for you, and there's no hangover the next day. You actually feel quite good after waking up. Remember; it's not a drug, it's a plant8)
