Anyone esle think this film looks cool? I saw the trailer for it today and it looks pretty hardcore what do you think?

Is the film really a requiem?

It is strange because AVP wasn't very good but this film is looking FANTASTIC! This just might redeem both series of movies which will be sweet!Thechaninator

Yeah there was, this one is directed by brothers strause (Greg and Colin Strause) I'm not sure who did the original but it wasn't them.

Well, as long as it has more than one pred that is capable of killing aliens its bound to be better. Oh, and if it ever shows an alien ready to fight it better not have that stupid wagging puppet tail thats kinda just dangling around on a wire but is still breaking pillars somehow, if you watched the first avp you know what I mean!

At least this time it will have the proper amount of gore and other violence prevelent in previous iterations of each franchise. AVP was a bastardization.FragStains

I wasn't a huge fan of the first one, but this one looks a bit better. I just find it's origins amusing.

That explains it....

It is weird, because I hate the idea of putting franchises together like this as they usually don't fit well and end up making both series look bad, but this is one that actually works extremely well together. They are both aliens with no real purpose but killing humans, so having them duke it out actually makes sense and is just badass.

No, he only directed the first Resident Evil, he did write all 3 films though.
