Episode 2 wasn't good.[QUOTE="Da_lil_PimP"][QUOTE="TGM_basic"]
So long as they remain at least the quality of 2 and 3, then sure, why not?
TGM_basic
No, I'm pretty sure it was.
It wasn't that good though.:PThis topic is locked from further discussion.
That man needs to stop ruining Star Wars. Oh wait... its too late. He already released the "upgraded" versions of the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy. OH well... now he's just beating the dead, rotten and nearly completely decomposed horse.
No, I'm pretty sure it was.

The only film in the original series better than it was Empire Strikes Back.
Really? IMO the originals destroy the new one.And I thought Activision was horrible with milking stuff, but nope, George Lucas is king. When will he die so that this will stop?
It fills me with indifference. If you don't like it, then don't see it. Seems simple enough. It's not like Lucas is ever going to put out more good movies anwyay.

Episode I was the only movie that wasn't all that good, but even then, on it's own merits, it wasn't a bad movie. It just doesn't hold up to the rest of the series.
It does sometime seem like, since everyone was so disappointed with Episode I, they went into parts II and III almost wanting to hate them. Like the negativity that sprouted from the first had spread on to the sequels, dooming them before they even had their fare chance.

Really? IMO the originals destroy the new one. I think for me it goes something like V > VI > III > IV > II > I. I could probably change that around rather easily, but Episode II and Episode I would definitely stay where they are. :P[QUOTE="Da_lil_PimP"][QUOTE="TGM_basic"]Really? And here's how I'd rate the series:
III > V > II > IV > VI > I

I actually liked Episode 3 a lot, but they could had worked on the acting and dialog a lot better at parts, some scenes just felt forced and questionable. I liked a few things about Episode 2 too.i dont understand why people get annoyed at this, what is ur problems? If u seen the movies already then it doesn't hurt u if he re-releases themblacktorn3D is a ridiculous gimmick to steal more money from the customers. When a big movie series like Star Wars is released in 3D, it only encourages studios to release more movies in 3D.

This sounds like the sorts of arguments that pirates make in order to try and justify their behavior.
I've never gone to see any movie in 3D. Help me, I'm being oppressed...

How can you steal money from people who willingly choose to spend it on your product? No one will be forced to see the movies when they're re-released.

If someone wants to see this re-release that's their choice, I don't care about Star Wars in 3D in and of itself. The problem I have with 3D is that you don't usually get the choice. You can either pay $20 to see a new movie in 3D or don't see it at all.
mark hamil once said I've learned that the movies [Star Wars] will never finally end. It just goes on and on and on and on. I mean, it's going to be in 3D, then it's going to be smellivision, then it's going to be a ride in an amusement park, then they'll come to your house and perform it with puppets on your lawn ... it'll never end! I accepted that a long time ago.
After seeing ep 1-2-3, you really want to see 3 more episodes? yes.....yes i did[QUOTE="Franko_3"]

Why don't they come out with episodes 7-9 that we were promised instead of some crap gimmick.

Jar Jar was tolerable.. See the fact of the matter he was SUPPOSE to be a comic relief.. Anakin wasn't suppose to, and ended up that way as well as a complete jackass (in a bad way) in the entire series.. Seriously if the character Anakin wasn't in the movies, it would have been a better movie lol.. I will only accept new episodes of Star Wars.. IF.. Lucas gets his claws out of the franchise and goes to back seat suggestions like he did in the original 3 movies.. Where professional directors and script writers can formulate a coherent story line from Lucas brilliant but muddled mess of a story line and dialogue.. The guy has vision no doubt, but he needs to be put on a leash.
I won't be seeing them. Instead of making more memorable movies Lucas is only looking to milk the series. No thanks, George!
after no one shows up to watch the Phantom Menace is another question entirely.TheShadowLord07This is Star Wars, of course people will show up. :P
I wait with mild anticipation. Mostly for getting the chance to see the Original Trilogy in cinemas.
They weren't filmed in 3D, hence it will look awful.Sajo7
Exactly this.
If we could emulate proper 3d on old 2D flicks, I would see every single one in theaters.
Hell I want to see the three originals in theaters just becuase I missed the epicness. The ORIGINALS. Not the stupid ones with the extra CGI BS. I WANT MY GUYS IN RUBBER SUITS DAMNIT.
