He's had enough chances to improve, yet he just CAN'T. I mean, I want more than just "hot" women, things that go boom, and plot holes( which I don't want). I,as I hope you do, want DEPTH, ACTING, and a PLOT(a GOOD one).

Seriously, Bay needs to be replaced by JJ Abrams. JJ would of made the Transformers' plot far better.
I don't really care. I've just stopped watching his movies.
*waits for sammy to come in and start flaming Michael Bay... :|*
Well that's a long running joke on South Park so no, also, I don't think he should, he's making a forune for himself and his studio.
Also why do all you people who hate him keep supporting him? I saw not even one entire movie by him and that was it for me.

Here's asolution: DON'T WATCH MICHAEL BAY MOVIES
Simple, huh?
He doesn't need to stop making movies.
Personally, I know what I'm getting into when I'm going to watch an M.Bay movie and loved both Transformer movies.
You act like I'm the only one that hates him.I don't really care. I've just stopped watching his movies.

No, you just seem to hate him more than most :P.
Honestly, people, just don't watch his movies. It's as simple as that.

Obviously not. I can think of numerous people that dislike him more than I do. Hell, there are websites that are dedicated to the hate of Michael Bay..
How can you think you might be alone? You know what the sad thing is? His early films weren't total garbage, not Shakespeare, but not garbage.duxup
They were OK but after Bad Boys, it all went downhill..

Hey, "OK" is high praise for a Bay film...argee with you 100%I don't think he should stop. I just think you should stay away from his movies in the future. I know what I'm getting myself in for when I watch a Michael Bay movie.

nah he has made enough good movies to where this doesnt get my vote. I mean he made Transformers, The Rock, and Independance Day all of which I enjoyed so no let him keep making movies. He's had enough chances to improve, yet he just CAN'T. Independence Day was done by Roland Emmerich, not Bay.

I thought going into Transformers that it was going to be a shoe-in for Best Picture Academy Award. You don't expect Doom to have deep gameplay, and you don't expect Bay films to be deep. It's called having accurate expectations. He can do what he wants. If people stop watching what he makes, you might get your wish but until then...SolidSnake35

not really it had great visuals and action, its humor was good and the movie moved along at quite a fast clip. Sure it wasn't a deep story, but it didn't make me stop and go wtf at any point and whats more I don't need a deep story every time go watch a movie sometimes I just want to go have fun.[QUOTE="barcx17"][QUOTE="Serraph105"] nah he has made enough good movies to where this doesnt get my vote. I don't understand the fascination people have with stopping successful people from doing things...FragStains
It depends on your definition of successful. To me success is measured by making quality products, which is why I hate directors who make careers out of so-called summer blockbusters with big explosions, frenzied action, hot women, and like others have said a total lack of plot and character development. If success is measured simply by how much money you make then I guess some of the most talented filmakers are losers. Like others have said, though, you can just not see their movies. I resolved never to see an Abrams' pic after the crapfest that was Cloverfield and I haven't regretted it. The thing that pisses me off is not that they continue to make money, it's that people act as if they're geniuses for making what amounts to a CGI, 90210 inspired, glitzfest. ZOMG, he took CGI robots and had them fight for an hour and a half, he's the next Scorcese! As long as people can just recognize films for what they are and give proper credit to filmakers who spend a lot of time trying to create a real vision I'll be happy.

I agree.
Meh, I know what to expect when I watch a Michael Bay film.
Whenever I go to see one, I simply turn my brain off, lean back with my popcorn and watch the explosions happen.

oh I haven't seen T2 just the first one. It's still on my to dolist though. Also try to remember if it is meant to be humorous it is not meant to be taken seriously in the first place which is why I am ok with racial humor.[QUOTE="FragStains"]I don't understand the fascination people have with stopping successful people from doing things...theone86

Ah...you see then, why I used the word successful, not classically skilled. If you can make a living selling hamburgers made from tofu, I'd call you successful. But you aren't skilled at making hamburgers. There's a market for almost everything out there. He is adept at exploiting the market of 'the summer blockbuster' and has been successful at that. Why he should stop making films because YOU don't like them, is what I don't understand. In my opinion, success is not measured in the quality of a commodity, but only in the ability to improve yourself with that commodity. You certainly are not the only person.
Anyone who willingly makes derivative films full of loud explosions, a near pornographic film $tyle, a juvenile view of women that boarders on misogyny, and then walks off into the bank with paychecks while stroking his greying stubble with a Cheshire cat style grin, knowing that he can do it all again no matter how many people hate him, deserves all the hate they receive.
And he reads comments like this from his gold bath tub, chuckling to himself.

Yet Diablo Cody must use a REGULAR bath tub.
I didn't know OT was populated by so many virtuous users brimming with integrity. If you can make a living putting out products that are horrible, the more power to you. The films he makes are not mandatory to see, they don't cost more to see than other films, and many people find them enjoyable and entertaining. Should we ban musical artists, videogame developers, food manufacturers, and authors from cashing in on the stupidity and banality of common society?
I wish Michael Bay would stop making Transformers films at least. He seems to be on a mission to destroy my childhood memories. Silent-Hal
Now that is a sentiment I do not understand. What childhood memories are there to ruin? It was a cartoon of mediocre quality created for the sole purpose of selling toys.
