Yeah Souljia Boy is pretty bad but America has not hit a new low because of a song that came out what, last year? Misleading topic.

the song is relatively old, TC. America is much, much lower now. Get with the times, man.

Soulja boy is a rapper in America. Show me someone that is just as bad as him elsewhere. American teens are what make Soulja boy so successful, thus making America part of this.

And if America has hit a new low, doesn't that mean the whole world hit a new low since Souljia boy is known around the world?...Sadly

So perhaps change your argument to "American mainstream 'rap' has sunk to a new low" and you may have a point people can agree with.

I am not sure if that will work either. That song came out last year, we already know how bad it is. We already know how bad mainstream rap can be.

But that one individual has pulled in an enormous crowd of teens which have brainwashed themselves thinking they can be like Soulja boy.

Not to that degree and not an entertainer. No way. For example....the president is a representative of the country for political issues. He does not, however, represent all Americans vis a vis there interests, opinions, values etc. Otherwise we'd only have one candidate ever. In other words...his position is representative. The individual not.

Yes however that position of his gives him enough power to be more of a representative than the other politicians. The world isn't really looking at every single US politician and their different views, they look at Obama instead and well he's still an individual, he is not just entity "president".

And I see the title was changed to my convenience :P

You're not getting the point. It doesn't mean it was a conflict as you call it.....that was accepted by all Americans. It was not. In fact, the way he got other politicians in line was with inaccurate intell. Doesn't sound like his opinion was held by Americans en mass. There is, and can be, no ONE person to represent a group. That is were generalizations and stereotypes come into play. In fact, politicians are less representative of typical Americans in that they are wealthy and have connections. How many Americans can claim fit that criteria?

But hey, if generalizing and stereotyping people due to the group they are put into, be it location, ethnicity, etc.....then there is nothing I can say to change your opinion.

Oh I do. You are explaining how it should be, and I agree with you 99% but that's not how it's seen by most ppl by the world on many different situations and when it comes to representing something to others, I believe what those others think is important ;p

I'll rap this up now Mr. LJ since I just realized I'm discussing politics on a Soulja boi thread, listening to some female talking about smelling **** and haven't slept in more than 24hrs : D

At the same time, it has hit a new high with Bobby Ray and Curren$y. Using Soulja Boy is unrepresentative.

If this "soulja boy" keeps referring to himself as a "souljah", why isn't he over in Iraq or Afghanistan?
