1. There are ignorant people everywhere. This "stupid American" stereotype is total ********. You go anywhere else and you'll get similiar (if not worse) results.

2. They obviously edited the "informed" answers out.

Whilst there are stupid people all over the world, the USA is unfortunate in having that particular steroetype attached to it. Just like all British folk walk around in top hat and tails drinking tea and saing "jolly good show" 'n all that crap...To be fair the last US president did'nt do much to better their reputation, but the current one is a lot better.

Well that was disheartening..but i think most Americans are more intelligent than that..

In general...mabey not that dumb, but definetly not smart. I scored higher than 85% of america on the SAT, and i had a 2.4 gpa and i didnt study. Now THAT says something.

That video is just made to perpetuate a stereotype. Originally I thought it was pretty funny,but now that people seem to be taking it seriously its lost its humor.

That's not fair. He asks a bunch of Southerners, who have a much higher incidence of mental retardation than the rest of the country. wstfld

He asked a bunch of blue collar people who don't really care about education or expanding their own personal knowledge. They probably just focus on their daily life and don't particularly care about anything beyond that . It isn't as uncommon as a lot of people would seem to think.
