You need to be more open minded. You need to be more loving. People from Texas are all idiots. People from Texas are rednecks. Hmmm... something doesnt seem to jibe here. . . . .

There's a difference between just blindly calling a group of idiots, and recognizing a group of people for being the idiots they are.

So being a resident of a Texas means you are an idiot? Yes, nibroc, that's not blindly hating at all. That's incredible open minded thinking.

Uneducated idiot's opinions on the US. I think the only proper response is haters gonna hate.

I've talked to older people from countries like Poland, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, etc. and they all have a decent opinion of the US. It only seems to be the more judgmental younger generations that tend to have such a biased and ignorant opinion. Even then they're a vocal minority.

They are the minority, they're just an incredibly LOUD minority. Having lived in three countries, I think it's amazing how smug and self-righteous youths can be in regards to their respective countries.

Well I think what he tried to say is that the globally image of Texas people is people that were followers of Bush in the past and republican supporters, and they want control, army, guns, bombs, fear. In the USA there's a lot of murders, let's say way higher percentage than Canada because all of the Americans lives in fear, at the TV news broadcast they always shows accidents, murders, violent crimes, and thus put the whole population in a rhytm of fear...right?

Many Americans do not live in fear, our media does what it can to instill it though. Also the point of having guns is not just about protecting our homes but also protecting ourselves against our own government. We don't sit in the dark in fear, waiting for someone to break in. Also gun control will not prevent criminals from obtaining guns, gun control will prevent law-abiding citizens from protecting themselves against criminals with guns.

I kind of agree? However he seems to be more baised to democrats.

I'm more Independent myself, I don't think there is any possible way for us to get a president who wouldn't be considered a joke anymore, even Obama wasn't the greatest president.

And it's funny how he says that Obama doesn't focus on money and greed, he raises the most money in the campaigns and he's very wealthy, even though that's not the main focus of his presidency.

However the opinion of one russian skier doesn't reflect the voice of many, though he does bring up some valid points.

This exactly. He reminds me of all those idiots that show up at protests hiding behind their masks and causing trouble.
