How about you tell me why I should care? Is the Canadian prime minister involved with any serious world affairs like the USA is? Does the minister involved with any serious USA business? I think not. We're in a 2 damn wars and an economic crisis. The Canadian prime minister is the last person I should be caring about right now.
TC's turn: Who is the Chief Justice of the American Supreme Court?Theokhoth
I wonder how many americans don't know the answer to that question.

We are fighting in Afganistan and we are in an economic crisis just like the rest of the planet so it's not just the U.S. that is doing important things.

Canadians also supply alot of oil and resources that you americans need.
Harper....but what does that have to do with anything?LJS9502_basicEverything...We supply the most wood, and we have rich oil plants in Alberta.

And what do you suppose would happen if America "dramatically failed"?

75,000 combat troops is infantismal. America's economy would certainly not fail if Canada wasn't in the picture. If the middle east wasn't it would, if China wasn't it would. Canada?

You would be surprised, this isn't the first time he's made a ridiculous overly nationalistic claim like this. To be honest, I expect this from Americans usually

I didn't have any idea who it was until I read this thread. As far as I know, the election wasn't really publicised here in America.

At least one :(
I feel a bit ashamed now

EDIT: 75,000 troops is alot.
How many provinces does canada have? Without using google
(only Americans)
alexh_99
Ten, right? That better be right, because that's what I always put on my geography homework :P
Yes, but we still do the most harvesting right now....So that means America needs us to survive. Unless America builds a ton of harvesting plants.Vilot_HeroIt wouldn't take long to maximize those industries...and it's not like we rely solely on Canada for our oil. Sorry dude....but those two examples wouldn't cause the US economy to fail. Any other ideas?
Edit: 75,000 troops is a small amount dude.

America definitely doesn't need Canada's wood to survive
As per oil, America has an insane amount of oil it has been stockpiling for years. It has miles of oilfields untapped. Tons of offshore oil deposits to tap into as well. The absence of Canada's oil would make oil just a tad more expensive here.
Give it up dude, America doesn't rely on Canada anymore than it relies on France, Spain, etc.
It wouldn't take long to maximize those industries...and it's not like we rely solely on Canada for our oil. Sorry dude....but those two examples wouldn't cause the US economy to fail. Your right, america doesn't need Canada's oil, you guys just need to invade another middle eastern country and take their oil.

It may not destroy America completely, but it will still hurt America alot. Let's see America try to defeat 75,000 troops. I know for a fact that America defiantly relies on Canada for wood. Have you seen Canada's landscape? How many provinces does canada have? Without using google
(only Americans)
alexh_99
What is the point of this? Just because everyone keeps up with and cares so much about America and her politics, doesn't mean I should know everything about everyone elses country. Stop trying to make Americans look ignorant, you're just making Canadians look hateful and jealous.
Also  at your "let's see America defeat 75k troops". There wouldn't even be a contest.
