I mean, seriously. Anyone who supports drug prohibition and drinks is a hypocrite. And he's going for more!

I sure hope he isn't driving. :?

That's not legal at all. What the hell are you talking about? :| Haven't you ever heard of public intoxication laws? Alcohol is legal... to an extent. Not 100% like you said in the thread title. What this guy is doing is definitely not legal. Also there's the age laws and driving laws. So no, it's not 100% legal. Besides, there's a huge difference between being someone who drinks and and someone who's an alcoholic.

"this stuff" in the title is obviously referring to alcohol, not his behavior.

And there's a huge difference between people sitting around watching TV smoking pot on weekends verses 24/7 potheads, but it's still illegal either way.

I think the guy who fell backwards was shopping on an lsd trip or something similar. I certainly have never seen this kind of constistent imbalance with alcohol. Every object appeared nearer to him and he consistently fell backwards.
I've seen someone on lsd who was a little like that. Especially when something made noise

I really doubt he was on acid. I've never seen anyone act like that on acid, tripping in public is usually really upbeat and cheery, not slow and confusing. Also, the way he really just couldn't get up makes it look like he was just really, really, really drunk.

You can be drunk in public if you do not possess a danger to others, Disrupt the peace by being too loud or harrassing others, destroy property and do not put yourself in danger by walking into dangarous places such as in the middle of the road. So technically he's not breaking the law.

It's quite possible that he wasn't just drunk. I could see either crack or meth mixed in there because of the way he seems to manage staying upright. It seems like if he were that drunk, he would stumble and not be able to maintain balance whatsoever, and it also seems like he is trying to run head over feet, so to speak.

Seen it before, but I'm pretty sure he's not just drunk. Drunks don't get that confused about distances and by the time the time your balance is that screwed up you wouldn't be able to do anything but lie down and vomit your guts out.

But why? Is it because you can't control yourself? Or don't have the resources to properly research whatever it is you think the government should control?

It's because I believe people cannot control themselves. This includes me and majority of the population. People consistently make harmful decisions for themselves and the people around them. To single me out and say me specifically.. is a little narrow minded in the entire perspective of what I believe in. Because my reason isn't based off of me. It's based off of what I've seen other people doing.

you don't have rights to begin with. Freedom doesn't exist. You're under control right now. All I'm proposing is a shift in where that control is. And there is something you should know about me.. I have both far left and far right political views.. and seldom ever meet in the middle. Now that may seem impossible. But it's not.

True, I work within guidelines, as do all people of a civilization. But the illusion of freedom is worth a lot. What you're proposing is destroying the illusion, no longer pretending. What fun is that? And where does it stop?

probably, but I don't believe that to be true in many cases. Over consumption, and unnecessary drug use is rampant in American society.

Oh, I agree with that completely. Especially of prescribed drugs. The ones that are actually "controlled". It would probably be better if pharmaceutical companies weren't so profitable. It's in their best interest to lobby to make drugs more readily available to anyone.

I'm aware of the problems with the drugs that are under control... but aren't actually being controlled. It is a problem.

Not 100% like you said in the thread title. What this guy is doing is definitely not legal. Also there's the age laws and driving laws. So no, it's not 100% legal. Besides, there's a huge difference between being someone who drinks and and someone who's an alcoholic. br0kenrabbit

"this stuff" in the title is obviously referring to alcohol, not his behavior.

And there's a huge difference between people sitting around watching TV smoking pot on weekends verses 24/7 potheads, but it's still illegal either way.

Not in California, Denver, parts of Canada, Amsterdam, etc, etc Besides, who cares if weed is illegal or not? It's never stopped me or anyone else I've ever known from smoking it. It'll be legal in more and more places as time goes by. Alcohol used to be 100% illegal, but all it did was increase crime rates.

Man it was like he was trying to go up a really steep hill the entire time.

On another note, you know how you can't walk or run right, stumbling about and falling and you can't get up in dreams? That guy totally looks like what I think I would look like if I saw myself in a dream.

howlrunner13

I have never been unable to get up in a dream

Well ok, then that's just me. :P Doesn't happen all the time. But it's like your legs are jello and I just can't stand up on 'em without falling over.

You ever have those dreams where you're trying to run somewhere? But for every step you take, you somehow end up moving BACKWARDS?

I'll be like, "WTH? Why isn't this working? How am I managing to screw up the task of walking?"

I also have dreams where I'm walking up or down stairs. But they're like these crazy ****ed-up M.C. Escher stairs, and keep falling down the stairs.

I had a dream recently where I was on an old boat (like from Mutiny on the Bounty, that kind) and there was a fortune teller that I was trying to escape from and somehow I kept moving closer and closer until I was sitting in the chair across the table from her even though I was going the other way always D=

I also think Salvia being legal is a joke as well. How can that be legal when weed is not?

they're working on making salvia illegal, its going state-by-state rather than at the federal level. I think they tried to make it illegal by the federal analogue act, but the psychoactive chemical Salvinorin is really different from other hallucinogens so the law technically doesn't apply.
