Recently I've read the Infinity Gauntlet (personally I think it's one of Marvel's best) and the Thanos Imperative.

Not touched it yet but I get the impression it's going to be made into a movie at some point, according to the critics, some of which are movie directors and Harrison Ford.

Edit: Because it's a little bit good apprantly

I've heard great things about it so I'll have to read it some time in the future. When it comes to trades though, I'm trying to pick up all of Geoff John's run on Green Lantern first.

I was a big fan of the Spawn comics when I was little. Haven't read a comic in at least 10 years now though.

As DC has relaunched a number of heroes and their origin stories I have been purchasing a number of those.

Though I have always loved the heroes of DC and Marvel I have read very little of the actual comics in the past just because I dislike starting in the middle of a story.

To give an idea of my interest in comic book heroes I am currently building a fiberglass Iron Man helmet. Once I am finished I will begin work on the rest of the suit. In the spoiler a picture of my helmet so far (still a long ways to go).

If you actually wish to follow the progression of my work you may on my deviantart page.

@mindstorm You really should pick comics up anyways! Marvel has relaunched many of their books starting from issue #1 very recently and if you go to a comic shop they should have all the issue from #1 to the current issue. Plus, you could buy trade paperbacks to catch up and then start buying actual single issues.

@nooblet69 It wouldn't hurt to try picking it back up again, even just a little bit. There are a lot of good comics out, and if thats not your thing, then you should pick up some trade paperbacks just for the fun every now and then.

I don't get the whole "I don't want to start in the middle" mindset. Comic books aren't like books, video games, movies, and TV. They aren't meant to be read from the start (unless you read certain indies which have definite end and are trying to tell a specific story). But do you really see Superman or Batman ending in your lifetime? There is no "middle", it's just arcs and stuff.

That's an excellent way of putting it. as long as one can find a good jumping point, it should be very accessible and fun.

I read DC (recently read The New 52 Justice League and Wonderwoman), Deadpool, and I'm reading Maus right now.
