Any good ancestry sites that are free?

It's always bugged my what the origin of my last name is. It could either be from Spain or from France and I've tried asking every living member of my family but it only stays in Puerto Rico.

I doubt you'll find any good one's that are free. Most likely they will just give you a 'teaser,' but before divulging any worthwhile information they'll ask for your credit card number. Should you find one though, PLEASE let us know, as I'd like to do a little looking myself (but I don't care enough to pay for it).

Yeah, I'm not sure that you'll find any that are free, but you'd be surprised what you can do with a small trial. I did the 14 day trial of Ancestry.com and was able to trace one branch of my family back to the 1240's.

Ancestry is a great site. I found a bunch of information and pictures of relatives going back quite a few generations.
