I, for one, am extremely afraid of escalators. Don't know why, but they creep me the hell out.
What random or strange things are you afraid of?

The orange stuff that lingers on a person's fingers after eating Cheetos. Seeing it makes me squirm, but if the person licks it off or starts sucking his/her fingers, I have to leave the room immediately.

losing a limb in a dangerous situation (in the tool shop). seriously i like to keep my body parts all together if i can help it.
Losing sight, an eye or both eyes.
Minor but persistent irratation.
People who bite down on their metal silver wear when eating. It just sends shivers and just irratates the hell out of me.
I have this odd fear of talking to people I don't know in social situations.
Once I get to know 'em I'm a chatter box, but until then I'm usually deathly silent. :P

Also there is only one horse in recent memory that I would probably still approach. His name was Sparkles. He was a pony. He had dreadlocks.
Like, the ridiculousness of a horse with dreads! Oh man, can't even be scared of that.
I fear that I am pretending to be something I am not but am unsure of exactly what I am prentending to be or that I am pretending to pretend so in essence I am not pretending at all.

Oh, I thought you meant envy from the horses' side. I am just a little disappointed.
Nonetheless, this Sparkles sounds like a once in a lifetime catch. Here's to much future frolicking, gallavanting or whatever a man and a pony consensually see fit.
Reading in front of class, I used to be fine when reading out loud to class but now I'm just too scared. Other than that, art gallery always give me the creeps.

I was told by my pre-school teacher that mushrooms were poisonous when I was 4 years old. The worst part? I ate crap tons of mushrooms at that age.
I'm super afraid of clowns. I can't look at them on tv or anything and I freak out if I see one anywhere near me.
Even the word creeps me out...
