College is fun, you need a lot of money though, to get through it without too much debt.

It increases your chance of getting a better job.

There is no 'too old' for college. You do it to better your situation in a lot of cases so you can get a job thats better then micky d's. I am 24 and plan on taking classes when my kids start school. Then I plan on opening my own business. Ive a few ideas for different businesses and wanna try my hand at at least one of them.

Become a male prostitute.

That is by far the best solution.

No college needed and I hear they actually make OK money.

Well, Iwent to college and didn't have such a great life, at least socially. Maybe that's an inverted "yes"?

Yeah it's never too late. There's this old 70-year-old lady in my literature class and she's doing great. She's easily one of the better students there.

do you know what you want to do? if the job you want doesnt require a degree, then id just skip college. if you dont know what you want to do, then it still may be a good idea to second guess your desision to go to college. youd hate to spend all that time and money for higher education only to find that you want to work your way up a best buy store.

just evaluate what you want to do with your life and see if college is a step in that direction. a "great life" is a very broad term that means different things to different people.

i dont know. Most jobs require college these days. even cops ive heard. plus you wont have a great life if you cant pay the bills. college wont necessarily make life easy or good. i know people who graduated and still cant find jobs

in this day and age college is a plus, but if you have the determination, know how and the right hookups you prolly don't need it. ppl today are having trouble finding decent work even with college degrees.... but it helps.

I am jsut about the only one of my group of friends that finished college. They are actually more successful than I.

But they have each said that they would much rather have the education adn the security it brings along with a more certain future. As they get older and have families they spend a fair amount of their lives stressing out about being able to provide.

Well, at the company I work for, all the college educated employee have the nice office jobs (which allow me to post at work like I am right now) and all the non-college employee are out in the field.

Make of that what you will.

What if one chooses to be "another bum on the street" and is perfectly at peace with one self and situation? Should one not be proud?

Sure a person can do that, but it's highly unlikely.
