:| Sorry, What??
EDIT: You're joking, aren't you? :P
Sorta. I understand the origins of Christmas, and technically being about the birth of Christ. But I don't really think about that at all on the holiday. Nor do I even care about it, considering it probably wasn't even on this day. I've always found it interesting that Christ's bday stays the same every year, but his death changes.
But in regards Christmas here in the modern age, perceptions change over time. As a child, you usually don't buy gifts. And even if you do, you usually receive quite a bit more than you give. And recalling my mindset back then, quite technically, it is a holiday of avarice. As you get older and older, it begins to equilibriate, and by the time you're a parent, you're on the other side of the spectrum, and it's a holiday of giving.
Right now for me, it's a bit closer to equilibrium, but I figure by the time all is said and done, I'm in the black, not the red.
I'm a Christian and have no problem with non-Christians celebrating Christmas so long as they do not stop me from celebrating how I'd like and they let me and others say Merry Christmas.mindstorm
I'm atheist, but got quite pissed off when I heard people complaining that others said Merry Christmas to them. One of the most ridiculous things ive heard really.
