There has got to be some motorcyclists/enthusiasts in here. What kind of bike do you ride? How long have you been riding? Within the next month or so I will be able to legally ride mine on the streets. My first bike is going to be a 2008 Ninja 250R, I will probably move up to a 600 in 2 years or whenever I feel like I have the experience, I'd say about 2 years. I personally can't wait to get on the road.

I have my motorcycle license, and from time to time I ride my uncles CBR600RR. He's gonna give it to me once he gets a new bike, but as for now that's all I have to ride.

I was thinking about getting a CBR600 as my first bike but I have been told it would be to much power for a new rider and I would be dead within a week :P.

I have my license.

However, my GF is so terrified for my life she has requested that as long as we are together that I never ride. And when you care for someone's feelings you oblige...like an idiot.

Oh, how I long for the wind to blast my face while my bike makes my crotch vibrate beneath me.

I've always wanted to ride a bike, but to be honest, I think I'm a bit too apprehensive. My parents got in a terrible accident back in 1990, and my dad got a compound fracture from it where he has a metal plate in his forearm to this day.

Why don't you take her to an empty parking lot and try to teach her how to ride a bit? Maybe it will make her more comfortable with you riding your motorbike.

I used to be pretty scared of riding a bike because my uncle had a pretty nasty wreck a few years ago, but since I've given it a shot, it is the most fun I have had and cannot wait to ride my own bike.

I've been riding for 1 and a half years. I've had a CPI Oliver City Sport, Honda Varadero XL125V and now I'm riding a Yamaha XT125X with enduro wheels and it's so much fun. I've had a go of my mates Honda CB500 which was amazingly comfy, had loads of torque and great handling. I've also been on a few other bikes of my mates. Getting my proper licence soon though, I want a Ninja 250 too, MCN reviewed it and said it was very good and it's just under 33bhp so I can get it on my Restricted Licence.

I don't...My friend has a ton of bikes though and I've been on most of them.

His Indian is my favorite. I can't stand (most) foreign bikes or those tiny little crotch rockets...

Tried it. Everytime I bring up the subject she "hears" about some motorcyclist dying on a freeway. Then we start at square one.

Yeah its got about 33 bhp. Max speed is about 160 km/h which is pretty good for a small bike.

My dad had this old Honda (no idea what the model was) and we used to ride on it all the time. It was pretty exhilirating. When I was real little (like younger than 10) I used to be really scared of it ,and would scream at him to slow down. Anyway, what's all entailed in getting a motorcyle license?

Though my liscence is expired now, I will be getting it again once I can afford a bike again (damn school).

My first bike was a 1979 Yamaha XS650 Special. Had to kick start it and loved it. My second bike, which I still own is a 1984 Suzuki GR650 Tempter. Nice bike, but rare in north america so it's hard to find parts. My newest bike, which I am rebuilding right now, is a 1986 Kawasaki Ninja 1100.

Can't wait to be riding again.

So you're more of a chopper/cruiser guy? The only advantage of them is that they are more comfortable. They are no good for turning which is a huge part in biking.
Foreign bikes are just the best, they pretty much have everything.

Yeah, a full tank on a sports bike or a foreign bike is only like $10 in Canada and they usually get like 50-65 km a liter depending on your weight.

I live in the UK. :P

To ride up to a 125cc you can do a CBT which you do for a day then you can go on the road without knowing road signs and such, but I heard that there is a theory part involved now.

To ride bigger bikes than 125cc's you will need to see this, it's a bit confusing the first time.

Haha, yeah it is pretty loud. The car belongs to the dude he bought the bike from. He had to be loaded because he had 4 other bikes and that vet. (He spent $55,000 having this bike built and custom parts added, a bit much if you ask me, lol)

An '06 Yamaha MT-03. It technically belongs to my dad, but he barely uses it. I'm getting my license this year, he says I can have the bike after I get it. Black with yellow coil spring.

Yeah, he had a Suzuki GSX-R600, but sold it when he moved to dallas. Then he got married and finally talked his wife into letting him get a new one, but she said no crotch rockets.

That's odd, I've never seen the suspension coil attached to the swingarm on the side. Looks nice though. :P
