The Jamie Kennedy Experiment

My wife and I would watch this and laugh our asses off. Guess most people didn't find it funny like we did, but we thought it was hilarious.

Some shows I got into after they were cancelled like Firefly, or Dead Like Me. I remember Dead Like Me I watched my friend's DVDs then like after I finished I was like "when's the next season start" and they're like "it was cancelled" and I was like "nnooooo!!!". Also disappointed when About A Boy ended last year, though I blame Sweaps entirely for it. Networks do that stupid thing where they wait like a month between episodes, it's no wonder viewership of some shows falls off during that period.

Anyhow, what isn't as disappointing as shows I like getting cancelled, it's the shows I like running so long they run themselves into the ground. Dexter for instance, I was so glad when it ended as it basically ruined itself the last couple seasons. Prison Break was a series with great promise at least as far as first season goes, after that the series overwrote itself into shit. Revenge was another show with great promise, I specifically knew that if they didn't end it by first or second season they were going to overwrite it into some convoluted conspiracy shit with secret shadow government, and oh and BTW the parent you thought was long gone lives and is in the conspiracy, dear lord the show just wanted to be Prison Break, it even sucked like it. I loved The Office (US) but even they did it too, it was like they had no more vision and were just spit-balling ideas and nothing was ever committed to. Like the Jim-Pam marital problems, what was that about?

Well i am hoping to see " The Brink " get another season, i found it hilarious. At times these shows only get one season. Another was " Eli Stone", i though the show had lots of potential, but they canned it after the first season.

There are two seasons of Eli Stone. They're sitting on my desk.

Outcasts (UK series like Tera Nova without the stupid dinosaurs)

My son made me watch Terra Nova, and I thought the dinosaurs were the only things that made the show worthwhile :-P

The rest of it tended to slip into a family drama with an occasional tribal conflict thrown in.

One that comes to mind is "Men of a Certain Age"... it was a comedy-drama with Ray Romano in it. I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons, but it got cancelled after that. Shame.

Came to say this. I enjoyed that show.

I'm sure someone has said it already, but Firefly. That show is fucking awesome. I love the atmosphere, dialogue, writing, stories and characters. Great stuff. I didn't know for the longest time that the movie (Serenity) was pretty much a wrap up for the series. I ended up finishing the series once, and convinced myself to watch the movie, thinking it would just be a condensed version of the show. I was pleasantly surprised that it gave me closure... to a satisfying degree anyway.
