Holding something like a roll of quarters or a battery helps by lowering the amount of momentum that your fist absorbs when it hits something.
When you strike someone with a closed fist your figers and knuckles will be pushed back towards the inside of your hand. If you have something to buffer that dead space then the lost momentum is eliminated therefor causing more damage to whatever you are hitting.

1. Do pushups on your knuckles to strengthen your wrist. If you hit someone full strength in the stomach, your wrist will buckle unless you condition it. Plus you'll get thick skin on your knuckles so you don't feel any pain.
2.Pivot your hips in to the punch. Your hips should lead the punch by half a second. Don't rely on upper body strength.
3. Punch in a straight line. Keep your elbow tucked behind your fist at all times. By swinging out wide, like with a hook punch, you're relying on arm strength. If you keep your elbow behind your punch you've got the whole momentum of your fist and arm travelling in one direction + the force from your hips.
4. Aim to punch behind the target so that you get a solid impact (this is where you wrist can buckle).
5. Snap your hand back. If you punch something like a balloon filled with water, you can see the waves ripple through it. By leaving your fist in contact with it, your arm absorbs some of the shock. By whipping it back all the energy remains in the target.
If tap a balloon full of water and leave your hand on it, it won't bounce around much. If you pull your hand back you'll see it shake a lot more.
If you have one punch to throw the nose is usually the most efficient target.
Chin shots rely on knocking the person out or dazing them. Some people have hard chins but nobody has a hard nose. It doesnt matter who they are if you pop them in the nose their eyes WILL water which impairs their vision and makes the ensuing beating that much more easy for you.
You'll knock someone out quicker by imparing their vision and then pummeling their blind *** into submission. Taking their vision out of the equation early on is the safer thing. Not only does it give them a hard disadvantage but it gives you a massive advantage for the remainder of the fight.
And yeah you can kill people with nose shots. Try to keep them straight on and not upward and you wont kill anyone.

He has atleast 50 pounds on me, im about 130, he's more around 180-ish (im guessing).
I am about 1-2 inches taller.
I know he is stronger than me (in just brute force) but I know I am way faster and have more stamina.
The whole reason i ask is because I am not fully confident in my abilities, because i usually never get angry at anyone and have never been in a fight, but him on the other hand has been in many fights (some with his gf) again i won't go there... So yeah thats the whole reason I was wondering about increasing your punching power, so I could try and end it fast.
If you really want to end it quick do the following. Works on anyone who is remotely inexperienced in CQC.
1. Fake a low body kick or a foot stomp. You just want to genuinely look like you are trying to hurt them below the waist so they take defensive action. Has to be believable.
2. When their hands drop to block ( and they will ) dril them as hard as you can in the nose. The low body fake and the nose shot will both be part of the same motion with very little time in between.
3. If the nose shot doesnt knock them out either circle behind for kidney shots or simply keep working on the head until they are too injured to defend themself.
And since you said he is stronger than you :
- Absolutely keep him off you. If you let him tie you up or take you to the ground you wont be able to get him off you
- Stay mobile.
- Use reach to your advantage.
- Keep your guard.
That sounds good, but i keep hearing this guy is pretty fast, he isn't "fat" he is a little on the fat side, but has muscle, I on the other hand am pretty skinny, but I also have muscle, I just don't work out all the time or anything, I guess I will just have to rely on my speed, and steel toe boot to give that "low blow" if needed :)If you really want to end it quick do the following. It's probably more than likely he'll toss you around like a rag doll with that much weight advantage on you. Either that, or you two will end up scuffing on the ground. Sure you're faster, but you need to get in close to land a blow anyway (which will in all likelyhood NOT bring him down) and he will easily close the distance and grab or punch you.
If he's been in more fights than you and has that large of a physical advantage over you......well.....I wish you the best of luck.

Weight advantage plays a role but is more often than not a misconception of overconfidence. I have absolutely destroyed people 2 weight classes above me ( roughly 70 pounds ).
In my experience the bigger stronger guys WILL try to tie you up and either suffocate you until you are winded while throwing body punches or short facial jabs or result to ground and pound where their weight coupled with the fact they are on top of you is a cumulative disadvantage for the smaller person.
If you dont let him grab you or take you to the ground it really doesnt matter how much he weighs. When i fight im A LOT more worried about height and reach disadvantages.
But what if I just want to knock someone out. If I Falcon Pawnch someone's nose I might break it? A hard hit to the nose the wrong way can kill someone can't it? Con Air style?OfficialJab

Oh, and as my 2000th post dictates, I have to say that growing long fingernails and scratching may be a cool alternative to punching. That, or put a weight in your fist.
And if that doesnt work make sure you get +150hp to chest and a runspeed enchant on your boots.

Better yet, go for a dead leg. Just roundhouse him as hard as you can in the thigh. You don't need much skill, just slam the bottom of your shin or the instep of your foot and shin in to his thigh muscle. Once you do, he'll either drop to the floor or limp around in extreme pain.
From there you can belt him around as you please. If you're going to 'pretend' to kick him low, might as well go for the actual thing. If you miss, he'll still be open by trying to block it. If you hit, you're even better off.
Dude, to be honest, if he weighs 180 and you only weigh 130, then you really need to do something to inhibit his ability to fight effectively, very early on in the fight.
Personally, I would kick him in the groin immediately, and then follow up with a solid knee kick to his head when he bends over in pain from the groin kick.
After that, he should probably be on the ground, and from there you can proceed to deal with him in any number of ways.
