Anybody remember Bionicle?

These were some of my favorite toys as a kid. Anybody else remember it? (PS I also read the comics as a kid.)

I also played the videogame.

Aren't they still quite popular? I didn't have many as a kid because they were a bit AFTER my time. I used to like k'nexs though.

The video game was awesome when I was smaller and would buy anything Bionicle. Now, I realize just how suckish it was.

The comic series just ended but yeah they are still very popular.

Beleive it or not the story and mythology behind it was actually really cool.

friggin awesome, I remember the ones that curled up into a ball and if you pressed the button on their back they did a zidane style headbutt. Damn, I completely forgot about them, they were one of my favourite childhood toysOverlord93

Hell me and my friends still bust them out once in a while to build new guys. I agree they were freaking amazing. Although, alot of it was just milking (the ones you mentioned were basically rereleased later with different styles.)

Yeah :) my grandma used to buy me and my cousin them when we were little :P

Loved them as a kid, I still have a bunch of them. I think the Hero Factory sets have replaced Bionicles, I still get lego magazine and haven't seen anything for them for quite a while.

Yeah I had them and I used to play the online game that was on Lego.com. Good times...good times.

I think so too... I've continued getting the Magazine, which is why I was able to read the end of the Bionicle comic... I honestly have no idea how I kept getting them.. I haven't renewed my subscription in ages.

I used to love those things. I remember that one of their commercials introduced me to the band All American Rejects.

I know... it's really weird. Like I said I think the last time I renwed was when I was in sixth grade. And I think I got another magazine a few months ago.

BTW what did you think about the ending?

Oh ok. I kept getting them so I figured "I may as well read them." I thought it was fun to read them despite being obviously childish. But hey it was a big part of my younger days.

I used to collect them and display them in my room when i was like 10. Now I've got around 50 bionicles stuffed in a drawer.

The movies were brilliant I reckon.

The lego was also great fun. I loved getting three bionicles of different colours and making a big guy

I may have bought one, but I was never really into it.

This reminds me, maybe i could sell mine...
