This is not a thread about video games!!!!

So i was playing CoD4 on xbox live the other night. And after the game was done i said "ill be right back i gonna go get a pop." Right after i said that they all started laughing. Some never heard of anyone calling it pop before and others said people havent called it pop since the 50s. Is this true? I dont know if its my just my state that calls it pop or what. Everyone i know calls it pop.

So my question is, do you call it pop or soda? or something else?

My parents, being from up north, called it pop. I myself, having been raise in Florida, learned it as soda. Now I alternate betwixt the two just for ****'s sake.

I dont know if this is true but Peggy on the show King of the Hill says people in Montana call it Sodi Pop.

Is anyone from Montana? Can you confirm this?

The county where I grew up is 30-50% Coke.

The county where I am now is 50-80% Coke.

Umm, I don't really call it either, it's either soft drink or if it's a particular kind I call it by it's name such as coke, to be honest I think soda and pop both sound funny and I don't know anyone who calls it by those names.
