I enjoy more adult aimed cartoons like Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad, and Futurama but I find South Park to be disgusting and disturbing.Anyone else think its too extreme?
Southpark is amazing but can go too far sometimes. Like when Cartman grinded that kids parents and put them in chilli and had him eat it. Too far for me.

if by too extreme you mean pushing the envelope that all tv shows should be doing and exercising the first amendment to it's fullest potential... then yes, a bit extreme.
I suppose some episodes go to far, and yes, it is definitely preachy at times. Still, it's worth it for some of the better episodes. The scientology one with Tom Cruise in the closet was excellent. :)
if you can get past all the language, sex, etc. in South Park it really is a quite ingenious show.iloverikku11
QFT. The way they incorportate current events is something you don't see on TV today. I like to compare Matt and Trey (co-creators of South Park) to many of the Looney Tunes cartoonists, since they were/are way ahead of their time with their cartoons.

It may be extremem, but IT'S A CARTOON! IT'S NOT REAL! True, it may not be for everyone, but even it extreme and disgusting sometimes, other seemingly less extreme cartoons like the Simpsons and other prime time cartoons are just as violent.

i think its a great show but there was one episode which i really didnt like and that was the one where stan becomes a hockey coach, the kid who was ill really took it too far in my view
It is pretty extreme at times, but I think the show, as stupid as it is, can be brilliant at times. This is the only consistent adult cartoon show that I know of. Eventually The Simpsons, Family Guy, Sealab, ATHF, and others started to suck after a while.

It was more funny the second time I watched it. I didn't laugh at all first time, but second. :lol:
I like the show. It's satire. Sick satire. Nothing like seeing Mr. Garrison insert a gerbil into Mr. Slave's ***. Sexy. Or see Mrs. Garrison have lesbian sex.
There are some parts that are really funny, and others that you can tell their first objective was to offend rather than to entertain. That's where it can kinda suck. :P
South Park is incredibly funny sometimes. Other times, though, it's obvious that they're just trying to be as outrageous as possible without actually being poignant or funny.

South Park is amazing, i hate the Simpsons and Family Guy. I just love how South Park makes fun of current events and shows just how stupid some people are.
