yeah i thought that was pretty funny
but my favorite part is the parts that involve the church
To be honest I haven't really seen any other Sci-Fi TV shows like Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, or Firefly....but so far, I am loving what I'm seeing from this. I hope it stays this good.
No, I don't have a TV for me in my dorm and I have an exam and an essay due tomorrow. :( So I will be watching V tomorrow night online at ABC's website.
It was good. I watched the corny old one when I was a kid (my dad rented it from Blockbuster), and so far this one is much better. I'll definitely be watching next week.
On the whole of the Internet, you couldn't look it up? Anyway, it's a remake of a show from the 1980s that just premiered tonight on ABC. It's about alien life finding us here on Earth and coming to our assistance. So they say.
I liked it. But they sure did cover a lot of ground in the first episode. It is nothing like the original. The Visitors dont wear military uniforms or speak in synthetic voices, so it is going to be hard to tell who is a visitor or not. The basic plot has changed quite a bit....and the reveal of the V's actual physicality was a bit subdued and not at all as dramatic as in the original show. My biggest worry is that ABC will cancel the show , so i am hard pressed to get attached to watching it.

Yeah , my main fear is that they won't allow the aliens to actually take over like they did in the original. In the original version it was an actual physical occupation with "visiters" actually patrolling the streets and stuff.
Still early though....and that young kid certainly reminds me of a character from the old version as well.
I'm looking forward too it, but someone on the interwebs ruined the story for me.
[spoiler] I found out that in the original series, they came to earth in order to harvest our water (despite there being tons of water throughout the milky way). And that they harvest humans for.. food or something. Not sure if those are massive spoilers or minor spoilers. They sound big, but I guess it all depends on the story. [/spoiler]
Basically, it's Aliens that come to earth and are all Obama-y and everyone loves them because they said they would heal the planet and fundamentally change America, but their real intentions are to enslave humans and use them as food.

Which ripped off the scene from Arthur C. Clarke's Childhood's End.
The production was halted two months ago for two weeks in order to rewrite the scripts. That's a bad sign.
