I sometime casually lay down on the couch and watch an hour or so of it. Some of the stuff people argue about are some of the dumbest ever!

I love this one!

Do you watch it OT? Post some of your funniest Judge Judy moments? :P

I watched one yesterday while baking cookies. There was a little snarky 11 year old girl with a toned down jessi slaughter attitude. I love when the parents know their kid is lying and say they aren't, and judy knocks them down a notch. There was also some ghetto looking girl named starwishi wearing a very inappropriate T-shirt for court, but i cant remember what it said.

Judge Judy isn't tough enough for me. I wouldn't last a day as a judge. They'd kick me out for saying, "just shut up and pay the fine, a--hole! Bailiff, beat this guy up for being a moron!"

Can't stand it. I remember one case where she ruled in favor of the wrong person because she didn't know what paypal was and wouldn't allow the person to explain it. I wonder if she knows what credit cards and cell phones are.

It is in bad taste enough that peoples dirty laundry get aired on public television, but that, combined with the imbecilic and petty arguments that both parties put forth, only to be mediated by a self-righteous "judge" that thinks they are some kind of charismatic celebrity, just makes the whole thing unbearable for me. If it weren't for the promotion of free-market Capitalism in the US, this type of show would not exist, and shouldn't exist. It is nothing but unhealthy voyeurism.

The next logical progression would be a movie like The Running Man or Death Race becoming a reality- making entertainment out of death row convicts.

is Judge Judy real? I honestly thought it was scripted... either way I didn't particularly like it. And didn't really agree with her judgements (when I watched it years ago)

Judge judy is a sad reminded about the type of cases that are allowed to go into court :( . Either way it's pretty funny when she knocks someone down some pegs.

Judge Judy was a judge starting in 1982 in family court in New York. She started as a lawyer prosecuting juvenile delinquents in family court back in 1972. She has also been a supervising judge in Manhattan. She has handled more than 20,000 cases while on the bench. Her style hasn't changed from when on the bench to now.
