... you do realize guys can be feminists too... but to answer your question. no i don't notice that because seriously my friends and i were feminists when we were younger and i have always hated my dad (so did they) so yeah... not all feminists are like that. besides i hate that people assume such things as feminists. like another poster said feminists are not the same as sexist women. *sighs* nevermindfirebubbles
they only do that for a little somethin somethin

[QUOTE="Faylette"][QUOTE="mgreener_34"]why are thier woman on thier board, shouldnt they be in the kitchen?[QUOTE="Faylette"]

I'm a feminist, and I'm pretty sure I don't hate all other men; I'm marrying one after all.

Side note - I do love my daddy. :D

I just thought I'd keep myself busy while the cookies are baking. :D

Maybe you should get started on the laundry now. :P

Once I'm done with the dishes and popping out a few babies, certainly!

[QUOTE="Quent1015"]-In regards to firebubbles sig- It's actually really funny, because there can be women's colleges, no problem. However, if you made a man's college, there would be massive protests and the word "sexism" would run as rampant as the Black Plague. In my school there's a feminists club, and everyone's attitude toward it is "well, ok, that's cool I guess". I suggested a masculine club and people were now like "no, that's unacceptable".Faylette

I wouldn't have any problem with such a club, but what would you do, exactly?

If you can't give birth while doing the dishes you fail at being a woman.

actually there are male colleges. but like all the all female schools they are private schools and do not have any funding by the government. and there wouldn't be any protests if they made a man's college, the college wouldn't be able to make money that is all. few people really want a single sex education anymore which is why most single sex schools are going co-ed. (reason my school went co-ed actually) to make money.

It's a failure that haunts every moment of my existence.

Fun fact: Faylette has a dishwasher and would rather gouge her eyes out and eat them than have children. :D

Yeah..I was being sarcastic. I didn't really have a goal in mind when proposing the club other than to see reactions.

Exactly!

Men have been hogging it for long enough, time to give women a shot at being the "dominant" sex. Would make for some kinky times.

Who seen that old sci-fi movie where this guy went forward in time or soemthing, and men were women's slaves! Anyone? I remember it being very arousing.

I've known a few flag waving femenists. They seem to be carrying around a huge chip on their shoulder like they've been the victim of aserious injustice. It's almost like they see men as the enemy. I'd bet money that 90% have had more opportunity than I have had. Yet I'm holding them back. Go figure. Especially because most young girls have NO idea what it was like to REALLY be repressed. Go back 100 years. They had something to fight about.

It's likemany environmentalists. They act like I'm the devil for not jumping on the green bandwagon but when it comes down to lifestyle, I'm more green than they are. Talk is cheap. Back it up or stop talking.

I thinkit's a little hard to pidgeon-hole feminists into one neat little package of what they should and should not be and what makes them feminists. Like anyone else, they come in ALL stripes and approach feminism in general at many different levels of participation. My gal considers herself a feminist, though I don't see any daddy issues after 3 years of being with her. She also loves violent video games, porn and dirty NON-pc humor. But she definately has a feminist stance onmany things. I think that if people opened their eyes that they would find more well-balanced and reasonable minded femisnists than extremists or people with daddy issues. I bet a lot of us know some people who are femisnists and didn't even suspect it.
