This is obviously a less serious post, but I have about 3 times, all when I was a young buck.

Yeah, it made me wonder what it was doing in the grass to end up between my toes and give me that horrible freaking sting that developed for me a fear of them

When I was younger I used to go out barefoot and purposely step on bees. Don't ask why. :P

I have actually when I was about 6 or 7, I was running around a field and stood on one. Only time I've been stung by a bee and I've only been stung by a wasp once too.

Been stung twice...

Once I picked up an apple that had a bee on the other side. The other time was similar to what you've said here, except I rolled right over it in my lawn and it stung me in the stomach.

I see bees on the ground all the time. My uncle who is a much braver man than I am used to squash them with his golf club when we were out playing.

Once I laid my hand on a bee by accident. One of the most awkward and painful feelings I felt from mother nature.

When I was little, I was coming inside from swimming in the backyard, walked thru the back sliding glass door and stepped on a bee that just made it's way into the house. Didn't notice 'til my brother told me.

Me too. Or by a wasp. Their buzzing sound creeps the hell out of me enough not to go near them. In fact I've found myself running like **** because a bee / wasp followed me quickly. :P But that's the only insect I fear, thankfully.

Walking barefoot outside is a good way to pick up parasitical worms. You don't even need a cut on your foot, they can burrow right in.

Yes I remember it vividly! I was at my aunt and uncles house when I was about 15. It stung me on my right foot between my fourth and little toe.

What added insult to injury was that the day before my 3 younger cousins and I had been playing the fields behind the house and disturbed a wasps nest, and I had been stung twice on my left arm and once on my little finger grabbing my youngest cousin out the way! That was a painful weekend :(
