This is obviously a less serious post, but I have about 3 times, all when I was a young buck.

I see bees on the ground all the time. My uncle who is a much braver man than I am used to squash them with his golf club when we were out playing.

Me too. Or by a wasp. Their buzzing sound creeps the hell out of me enough not to go near them. In fact I've found myself running like **** because a bee / wasp followed me quickly. :P But that's the only insect I fear, thankfully.I've never been stung by a bee ever.

Walking barefoot outside is a good way to pick up parasitical worms. You don't even need a cut on your foot, they can burrow right in.

Yes I remember it vividly! I was at my aunt and uncles house when I was about 15. It stung me on my right foot between my fourth and little toe.
What added insult to injury was that the day before my 3 younger cousins and I had been playing the fields behind the house and disturbed a wasps nest, and I had been stung twice on my left arm and once on my little finger grabbing my youngest cousin out the way! That was a painful weekend :(
One time I stepped on dog poo bare footed. That was a bad experience to say the least. Never a bee though....
