Currently I'm in day 4 of kidney stone. The pain is quite astounding, at times leaving you doubled over and throwing up. I haven't eaten in 3 days because of my stomach won't hold anything down, I assume cause of the pain. Has anyone else suffered from this? If so do you have any tips to speed up the process, or how long it can take? I got a doctor's note for 7 days off work but I can't imagine going that long.

And yes, having this was my worst nightmare, I'm terrified of passing it.

I have. Drink as much water as you can. Did you get a scan and find out how many stones you have? I only ever passed one stone, but apparently had over 10 in me. I didn't want the procedure done so i assume they are still in there. Drink LOTS and LOTS of water to help pass it sooner. If the pain gets too much, then its hospital time. I ended up in hospital from it.. never again. I'll put up with the pain that deal with morpheine. I was dizzy, throwing up and passing out and waking up constantly from it. Passing the stone wasn't that bad.. when it was inside and working its way down the tube to the bladder is the worst part. Thats when it hurts. when i actually passed the stone i felt really seedy afterwards, but it didn't hurt.
