I need some help with 3ds Max. I am currently modelling a helmet, but I am stuck with the horns. I need to extend that and get it to a point, but I have no idea how.

Been a long time since i used it but you should be able to select the vertexes (the points) and use the cap function (that's what it was called i think?) which i believe was available when you right click. It acts like say capping a bottle, it should cover that hole, most likely with triangles meeting each others in the middle from what i see of your model.
The connect, extrude and weld functions should get you where you want. You want to connect the vertices to make a plane, extrude the plane to make it longer, then weld the vertices together to make a point. I could be wrong about the connect part. I don't have max installed right now so I forget if it's called something else.
You should be able to weld the vertices together.
If you can't just PM the model to me and I'll do it.
Create a new vertex, and draw some polygons from the current end verticies to the new vertex. The new vertex would then be the point.
Haven't used 3dsmax in years though...
