No thanks. I imagine I could handle it easily enough but I have no desire to watch it in the first place. I've got nothing to prove.domatron23Nothing to prove? Prove it!
I would advise you not to.[QUOTE="Big_Bad_Sad"][QUOTE="BiancaDK"]*scuffles off to investigate*BiancaDK
.. aw gawd
I don´t have the stomach for these things anymore.
Really...DON'T DO IT.
:o
Why would you want to? =/DigitalExile
I´m curious, especially when it comes to human behaviour.
Also, i´m kinda´ relieved that watching it made me physically sick. It´s reassuring, knowing that i find certain things profoundly warped and sick. It´s a healthy response.
I´m really just performing "reality testing" on myself, when i watch these kind of videos.

Well, I understand that. I don't think I'd vomit, but on the other hand I don't feel like I need to see it to know I'd be disgusted.Well, I understand that. (: I had to make sure tho, since i found it highly curious that a different "shock" video recently posted in OT made me smile and laugh.

They all can't be psychologically sick can they, so what was that all about? Is it just because our moral standard has evolved? So its kinda like automated response where we morally obliged to find these things psychologically sickening for us? I always find myself asking this question.

A number of elements factor into this. You´re right, they´re not sociopaths. They´re acclimatized to a different culture, with a completely different set of values and expectations. The reason i even care to mention expectations, is because expectations alone is a very significant size in itself, since it determines the angle of experience, and it will colour the outcome derived from XYZ experience. It´s not as much a question of evolved morals, as it is a question of a selective application of morals, be that cognitive or not (im heavily inclined to go with the latter.) I could further elaborate on this, but i think you get where i´m going with this, so feel free to toy with the thesis yourself. (:

Don't forget the cats.Of course, curiosity is built in within ourselves, its natural. But I was just wondering if this feeling, expression are genuine or is it something else? For example: Awhile back in, say, one of conlict zone I've seen corpse for the first time lying in the side of the road got shot in the head and at that time I dont know how I feel about it I felt empty, no remorse, nothing, as if like I dont know what to feel. I mean its a pretty disgusting sight no doubt, but the lack of empathy, maybe, what disturb the most. Since then on I always ask myself that question, but I still cringe though everytime I watch "Ichi the killer" so that makes me somewhat normal, to my relief :D

Right. I get where you're going, thanks for that, highly appreciated. =)I only feel remorse if the person did not deserve it. Like if I saw a dead body of a kid who got shot during a drive by or a someone who was kidnapped and killed, yes I will feel remorse, I will feel sorrow, I will feel sad. With this video I feel nothing, that person should have not jumped from there in the first place.
yes. i find those things interesting. horrible as they are, i like watching them.Severed_HandI'm with you on that one. I guess your username somewhat reflects that!
Yes I did and, frankly, while I felt sorry for him, I also felt anger that he did something so damn stupid.
Some people are so stupid its unbelievable.
[QUOTE="howlrunner13"][QUOTE="Nerd_Man"]I don't think I want to see such a video... But what exactly happens to this guy that's so gruesome?Nerd_Man
You can't see anything in the actual diving video. You see the guy trip when he goes to jump, and then hit the dock thing, and the water turns red. It's the hospital part that's gruesome. His face is split vertically from chin to forhead, wide open. You can see his tongue flopping around and everything. However it isn't confirmed if the hospital video is the boy who jumped off the pier or if it's a different person.
...Gross. That sounds like it could be a creature from a video game! =/ Very scary. Anyways I won't look at the video, there's no reason to.He needs a massive dose of antibiotics, any debris or rotten tissue needs to be removed, area needs to be cleaned, bones need to be held in place with support, if bones are too shattered, shards need to be removed and a synthetic face bone needs to be custom made and applied, his face stitched while it's held together with clamps. The doctor's not doing any good opening and closing his face LOL
It's not easy to fake that breathing noise through flesh. I tried it once, but I wasn't fooling any nurses.i saw it awhile ago, it's gotta be fake

One reason to be afraid of heights. Don't tempt gravity! You can get hurt from the ground just from the standing position.

Imagine a creature 3 times as big as a normal human shambling quickly toward you with a face like that. Tongue lashing out with venomous spikes. That would be a hell of a video game character. You can't see anything in the actual diving video. You see the guy trip when he goes to jump, and then hit the dock thing, and the water turns red.
