It say in the bible that homosexuality is wrong, and not accepted by god. I don't beilive in the bible that much, not much of a christianity fanatic either, but this catches my attention, dont you think if there really was a god, he would allow people to love whoever they want? I feel this is a bit insulting to them, also if you are homosexual, how do you feel?

P.S im not gay but i find its incredably unfair (it also states they will be sent to hell, cant remember all the details)

This has been discussed a lot. The Bible doesn't say anything about homosexuality in the New Testament.

Not necessarily. I feel that if there were a god he would be able to do whatever the hell he wanted and if he thought homosexuality was icky, so be it. I'm not sure how the Muslims and Jews accept them nowadays, but the majority of Christians don't take the bible literally.

The bible states that man should not lay with another man. But the bible also states that you should be stoned to death for working on sundays. Religious fanatics pick and choose the versus of the bible that they want to justify their behavior and beliefs. In other words they are phonys.

So TC you think its ok for anyone to love anything? You are A OK with bestiality? The Bible sets up guidelines for humans to follow. Its up to us to interpret these guidelines in the most logical way possible. At least I think thats how it goes down.

It can't really be taken literally, because of the amount of it that has been lost in translation kind of prevents it. So... It's essentially open for interpretation.

Most Christians just believe in the good stuff, that Jesus was God, that the universe is thousands of years old, and that only believers go to heaven, and little else.

As it was humans who wrote the Bible, not God, the Bible is not a judge. The only judge capable of answering that question is God Itself. Unfortunately if you should decide to ask It directly, and It answers you, you will be branded a loony and be sent to the asylum. Or you'll be dead and you won't be able to tell us.

Convenient that, God doesn't allow others to tell us what It actually says and thus the answers can be found in some book written by human hands...

well being pansexual I have to say I believe that all people should be allowed to love who they want.

As a mostly logical perosn I have to say the bible (old testament?) and whatever other religous text says this they are wrong and one must think of god as people speak of him being love and if he is love then is pansexual because pansexualism is love of all and god is pan!!!!!

If you believe in a heaven, I don't know what all religions hold a similar theme, but you might check buddhism as it is instructing you on how to get to a higher stage of enlightenment, kind of like heaven I guess. Jews don't accept Jesus as the messiah, so if you believe in the christian god but not Jesus, check into that. If you just believe in some kind of god but you don't know why and you don't have any idea, agnostic is usually the easiest title to give that, not atheism.

1. Most Christians today don't believe fully in the Bible, just what they want to.
2. The Old Testament was not replaced by the New Testament. It was fulfilled (Matthew 5:17).

If you are sexualy attracted to solely men, you are gay If you are sexualy attracted to solely women, than you are straight, and if you have any variation of attraction to both, whether it leans more in one direction or the other, it doesnt matter you are than in the continuum of sexual preference and are therefore Bi.
'Real Gay men' do not have attraction to females, just as 'Real Straight Men' only have sexual attraction to females
Therefor it is not a choice for true gays right?

Now,
"In Western Christianity, sin is viewed as a legal infraction or contract violation, and so salvation tends to be viewed in legal terms, similar to Jewish law. In Eastern Christianity, sin is viewed in terms of its effects on relationships, both among people and between people and God. The Bible portrays sin as not following God's moral guidance, based on the account of Adam and Eve in the Book of Genesis. Sin is to know God's will, but willfully choose to ignore it."
If they are not wilfuly ignoring gods will, but instead are unable to confide by it is it really a sin?

Hmm, no its not. Pansexuality denotes the potential of sexual attraction to all genders and beings. It is intended to negate the idea of two genders (as expressed by bi-)

Some Christians are homosexual. Regardless, beating around the question isn't answering it. The poster stated that they pic and choose based on what they thought was logical. I asked how was hating homosexuals logical.

Maybe bcuz some christian fanatics beilive god created both genders for reproduction and that love between 2 people of sae gender is against his ways for humans, mistake me if u think im wrong here?

[QUOTE="jaydough"] Do all Christians find it logical to hate homosexuals? BumFluff122

I think that, in many cases, holy books can be something akin to a Rorschach inkblot. What people find in it can often be as much a reflection of their own souls as actual material that is the intention of the text. Thus, if someone filled with hatred reads it, they will inevitably be drawn to the verses that at face value appear to justify that hatred.

It's much more difficult to read it and actually come to the conclusion that something in your life isn't right.

I was asking the meaning of pansexual lol

It's just the more scientific sounding term for being bisexual.

I wouldn't say so bisexuals have man women, at least to me being pan is all, so my sexual attraction is simply for being sexy...even if that man is a now a women or a man in a dress or completely confused.

but yeah it has been fused with bisexual today it didn't use to be.

It isn't. Just some people find it to be logical because they don't use logic. jaydough
That was what I was getting at. People don't follow the bible because it is logical. Belief in God (speaking about modern religious Gods) is not logical because there is no evidence. Instead of providing evidence believers attempt to prove their position by attempting to dispprove the opposite position.

Hmm, no its not. Pansexuality denotes the potential of sexual attraction to all genders and beings. It is intended to negate the idea of two genders (as expressed by bi-)

Cortesy of wiki

yeah but today it is "part" of bisexual in GBLTQ use to include it but now it is shorter and seems to have gotten rid of the other definitations that were there like 2 years ago but change...but yeah it is different.

But why is hatred towards them logical? That doe snot sound logical to me. Hatign someone because of what they do in their spare time at home with another person of a similar age that you do in your spare time at home with another person of a similar age does not sound logical. Sorry.
